I read here only that ricky will be used as AM or winger. Why does nobody here see in him a deep lying playmaker or a LM in a 4321 or 4312? I know he is not that defensive player, but it is worth to try it in my eyes.

I agree... I don't see him as a winger. I would prefer him playing am or dpm....

maybe thats a reason why strama still confident with our midfield

in strama tactics ricky can fill that RCM/RW role
its better option than use joni or Zanetti on that role

at the first time, i thought guarin will take that role
but after some games at pre season, he's best is play as LCM/CM so he can cut in and take shoot often
vice versa with ricky on right, cut in and shoot with left foot,,
Cambiasso or gaby as holding midfield who stay at back all the time

Actually his defensive abilities are pretty good, he's a great tackler, can read the game pretty well, covers a lot of ground and has good workrate. The problem with Alvarez is his stamina and his injury proneness, when you compare that with Guarín for example that was still running at the 93rd minute in the first game of the season.

Alvarez has no place on this team. He fits no where, and I am pleased about that. In any case the game against Val today showed physically and defensive wise we aren't quite up to the demanding level of the 4-2-3-1, but I still want a prelude. Hopefully against Pescara in one half atleast.

I don't even get how people can think like that :chan: Like benching milito will do good for him or us he needs to constantly play if he's fit,the goals will come pple can be very impatient.Its a good thing Palacio is becoming great for us this way there will be less pressure on milito to score,but when he does start scoring again those 2 will be unstoppable,great attack we have this season with the addition of cassano.

Remember form is temporary class is permanent.We've been through this last season then he saved our asses from relegation
