Coutinho needs to be more involved in the game. For christ sake, play the game! Be visible, be important! You can't just hover around and wait for others to do the shit. It's you who should do that shit.

He had some good moves today and was a bit better in the end of the game, but overall performance was disappointing. He really needs to get inside the game more eagerly.

He had one good move. Where he went on the run/dribble and was fouled, but the ref saw it differently, but yes as I said in the match thread. Very disappointing. I can't understand how Strama let him languish out there. Running into blind alleys, looking for the ball in congested areas, errant shots and passes. Borderline horror show.

He's playing like any young player should... some good, some bad. Looked worse by how bad the midfield was today, which is why I'm so happy and amazed with how well Cassano played.

Coutinho played crap for one reason, pressure.

He knows now that Cassano will start over him in the majority of matches. He knows Alvarez is back from injury and is apparently an important player for Strama. And he knows Palacio is there too, coming off a very impressive ore-season.

haven't seen the game yet, but for now i'll just assume that he sucked because he was invisible most of the time since he waits for the ball to get to him instead of actively looking for it and because the midfield was incapable of getting the ball to him enough times for him to make an impact
