PES or FIFA series?

Threads merged. I play both series but PES kicks fifa in the nuts on the pc and since that's my platform I prefer PES. Much better graphics and gameplay compared to fifa on the pc. EA has promised they will correct this so I wait to see what happens 9 October.

PES definitly. If they could blend PES with Fifa's graphics, licenses and soundtracks it would be the best game ever

That will be amazing, I luv Pro Evo but the licensing really bothers me. Still I pick Pro Evo over Fifa any day.

PS: Can't wait 2 see how good Balotelli will be in PES2009 :boogy:

Depends which version you are talking about. On ps3 and xbox fifa 08 was better than pes while on the pc pes was better.

Yah i know because the pc version they ported the ps2 version of fifa so you got bad graphics but i am sure fifa 09 on the pc will be the same as the console versions and i am sure you will enjoy it.

pes2008 wasnt that good really, not alot of improvements and the online part was unplayable for a long time on the consoles.

Still better than FIFA though. FIFA games have always been terrible really.

Last version of PES is shit... The players are made like they are plastic, and the camera is also shit... So, as Mike said, pes was better, but atm, fifa is better...

Fifa 09 demo is out. All I can say, if they keep progressing like this, in a couple of years we'll finally have a football simulator that looks and plays exactly like football!

Wallace, the problem is that PES stuck in last gen, and didn't improve many many things that was possible to be done with current gen consoles. Does a game that is supposed to be played with a d-pad should be called a "simulator"?
They had everything almost right on PS2, but now they have screwed up big time. Seabass has obviously lost his ability to innovate(Be a legend, anyone?)
Be a legend is clearly a ripoff Be a pro mode. Okay, sometimes you have to ripoff such things, but he didn't come up with anything new in a really long time. His game is no longer simulator. It's just a football game that plays nothing like football.

In fact, just the online play with fifa already owns pes big time.

Well I have the fifa 09 demo for pc and all I can say is its crap. No real improvement over last years. They only improved the gfx from up close but from a far it looks like absolute crap.

I played it on the highest possible settings. Spore is more demanding than this gfx wise and it was intended to be played on all systems.

PES will rule the pc roast again this year.

Slow and heavy controls and usual unrealistic ballmovement.

Played the new FIFA today. All I can say is it's probably the best soccer game of all time. Videogame perfection, most realistic looking game you will ever play. Everything is perfect from graphics to gameplay to controls.

Anyone who doesn't like this game should get AIDS.

Agreed. I havent played a fifa game in over 5 years but after finally adjusting to the controls, im hooked on it.

I will wait for the pes demo before I decide, but it's not looking good for konami...
