Disappointed with PES first demo tbh.
At first I thought it has become more interesting (since the AI is a little bit easier and not as crazy in this demo than 2012). But, so far, the game is pretty much the same as before.
Maybe it's just my preference but I think the tempo is still to high, too unrealistic, though it can sometimes provide more fun.
There are some unique and interesting new moves, but again, a lot of awkward and unnatural moves from 2012 still exist.

Expect a much better second demo and the actual release or I'll stick with FIFA for the second consecutive years. :pazzini:

the tempo is high because its only 5 min demo 5 min matchs are shit. when you play 15 mins on the highest difficulty the games are more slower and realistic.

Triied the pes demo. After 1 game I can say: The grafic is not as good as it is in fifa12. The game is very static and the shot-system sucks. Don't know but it does not impress me at all.

Well, I actually played the patched one from PESEdit so I could choose 15 min plays with Superstar difficulty, and it's no better IMO.
The pace of the ball is too quick, player movements are too rushed, defenders still give away spaces at the back so often that good player can easily make one-on-one situation in every attack.

First screens of PES Tech.

It will use a new engine from scratch. Thank God something new, I'm getting tired of FIFA and EA's mediocrity:

  1. Barycentre Physics and Ball control

The new engine allows for a larger separation between player and ball - three time the radius of PES 2013, where tight 'confrontation' zones are used to make tackling easier. A striker will be able to throw his body weight in one direction and use his opposing foot to push the ball in the other way, leaving defenders off balance and buying space for a pass or shot.
You'll be able to control your player's weight shifts at all times and use practice touches to push the ball away from your feet. We see a wireframe demo with more natural animations and fluid transitions than FIFA 13. You control the player and the physics drives the animation, not vice versa. It's hard to tell how this will transform the 'feel' of play, rather than just being admirable behind the scenes calculations, but there appears to be scope for a radical new control scheme - think of how Skate's right-stick motions mimicked real-life movements by exploiting dynamic physics, and how they compared to the digital button taps of Tony Hawks Pro Skater. This could be a revelation in football game control.

  2. Contact and Physicality

Konami has pinpointed this as a weakness in previous games, but now players can jostle for space - even without the ball present - for headers at corners, or to dominate a smaller opponent.
You'll be able to tug shirts (cloth is now separate from the player's body and stretches) as well as elbow for room on the touchline. It works in tandem with the physics and precision control. Agile players can unbalance defenders with dropped shoulders or ball skills, and push the ball further ahead to exploit their acceleration. "Previously, body feints were more aesthetic," admits Masuda. "Now they're a key tactic."

  3. Squad Emulator

Formations remain essential for success, but now you can set 'zones of play' so your key players focus on certain tactics in mission-critical areas. For example, you can set your front line to focus on possession and probing for gaps in from of a deep-lying defence. In theory, you'll be able to recognise your favourite teams pattern of play within a few minutes. The emphasis on defending and shape should allow weaker teams to create effective strategies, such as when Celtic beat Barcelona in the Champions League by defending deep, buoyed up by the home crowd.

they always come up with some new BS and it always plays like crap.. players all run like hunchback apes

its so amateur, the way you can rocket a simple shot in 500mph

it's gonna take a lot to compete with fifa again, the days of PES are over since PS2

FIFA need to fix their shitty servers & stupid glitches too

Used to be PES in ps2, but Fifa took over.

Fifa just needs to fix the glitches, gameplay a bit, and really make the faces realisticly. :palm:

FIFA was shit and then became #1 football game. PES was the best game, but, they thought their game was perfect and don't needed improvements, despite the arrival of the next-gen tech and look where they are now. I bet will happen the same with EA and Konami will be the king of the next-gen.

nah fifa have the highest appeal, its gonna be hard to win over fifa fans now with the standard they set

but tbf, all pes have to do is not make a shit game and they'll get tons of players again.. since 2006 they've been shit like you said, but i dont think they'll overtake fifa again

iv'e always liked fifa more, but pes was pretty awesome on PS2.. I want them to become better so EA can finally step the fuck up because they've practically got no competition
