Bastoni is our best CB and it would be an absolute disgrace to bench him in any formation.

We are all assuming Hakimi will be worse in 4-back formation. He became one of the best RB, playing in that formation. Over the years the best attacking RB's (or LB's) played in a kind of 4-back formation

Don't put me together with the other retards plx.

If Barella and Tonali are covering for our full-backs then they'll basically attack at will.

In the words of Pioli The Wise, it's not formation but tactics that matters, so I agree, no need to panic about Hakimi in 4 at the back.

This. Plus if we put Bastoni as a left-back, it would allow us to switch to three at the back in possession. Further, Hakimi could play RM in 442. I don't believe that Allegri has already decided on a formation so wouldn't discard options like this.

Reluctantly voting Allegri. He's the only one who can work with the squad without much whining and without the need to have a full pre-season. Still don't know the rest of the staff changes, but we need a quick pre-season and a lot of depth to be able to manage the next season. Allegri rotates a lot and also switches up the lineup so he can manage the squad better than others available.

Ideally, the next step is Diego Simeone but we are left with no time here.

I would've loved it if Simeone came when we needed to get out of the shithole we were in, but now he can with his 20mil salary just to play like Chievo. Should be in prison for the big money flops collected:palm:

Would you guys really wanna play anti football with Simeone???

Or is it just the fact that he’s interista and the way we would play is overlooked???

I love the guy but I don’t want us to be that type of team.

I voted Allegri. Ideally Conte stays and further develops the work he's done this past season, but clearly it's not going to work out on multiple levels. I have a lot of faith in Allegri but I worry about how short the pre-season is.

I wonder if we’ll ever see coaching teams or multiple managers, similar to how there are specific offense and de-fence coaches in the NFL.

A Pioli-Giampaolo duo sounds fantastic. Both Interista too.

If this was another time, if we were in year zero, i would have voted Pochettino, since i would love to see what he can do at another club, he has a lot to prove and he is an interesting, modern coach i believe, but since we need experience and not a gamble atm, i will go with Max!

I don't want Simeone anymore.

I voted Allegri, reluctantly.
Ideally Conte should stay for another year at least. But there are too many question marks! I never saw him more than a coach for 2-3 years. And I hoped he learnt some things after his spells at Juventus and Chelsea. Seems not the case. As many here said it's not worth the risk, giving him whatever he wants and than risking to leave and let you with a roster that would be too old or not suitable for other style of play.

Allegri seems the safest choice in this moment for all the reasons there were mentioned.

Would have been in the same situation like 2017 (when Spallo came), maybe someone like Poch or Sarri would have been better, to start a project from scratch. But we are pretty advanced now. We have a pretty good battery of young talents and players in their prime. And Juventus seems vulnerable. Allegri could be the surest bet to try to gain from this situation.

As a broad perspective I would like Marott stay for many years. He is calm, competent, diplomatic. I know he is not a spring chicken and I hope if Ausilio leaves, he will find someone capable to help him and when the times comes, could continue his work.

Now that this "Allegri is done, Conte is toast" at Inter bonanza we had for past few days from all those insiders of italian press , can we now close this thread?

I hope people will remember this episode as another proof, italian media really knows shit 99% of the time and have no clue and are plain guessing. Just like us :)

Nah, we can as well say they were in it, but the outcome was just different to what they expected. I'm more believing that today's meeting was about if Conte stays or leaves and not about some random management stuff. The outcome wasn't decided BEFOREHANDS so of course the reporters didn't know it, probably even Steven Zhang didn't know it beforehand.

The Allegri in, Conte out shit was just predictions by the reporters. Nothing new, normal stuff in this business.
