Bloody horrible.
For whole 2008 this has been the case.
Our attacking game lacks any pace, the support is so slow etc. It's like these players suddenly turned themselves off at the new year's eve.
All our players are attacking and defending and as a result, we can't do any of them properly.
Why does whole team get back when our opponents leave bloody 4-5 players out there in defence anyway. It makes absolutely no sense.
We must get he ball down onto the full-backs, to open up the game and then either cross or pass back inside where there has been more room opened up. But then again, the wide-men ain't doing their job properly all the time, they stop the play, get 2-3 players put on them and therefore get stuck.
This team plays far too tactical - a bit of simple schoolboy like football should be added to our style. We must keep the ball running (not running at crazy pace, but not like we are playing atm - half of the when attacking the ball is still).
The players must be ahead of the ball when attacking, not behind it, which is the case for us in this last year in Serie A and since ever in the Champions League. The midfield trio is always jogging behind the guy with the ball and when we pass the ball backwards, any chance of surprising the opponent is gone, the trio Bambi-Capitano-Vieira must get ahead of the ball or atleast 2 of them, giving the chance for a forward pass as otherwise, there are two strikers forward with like 5 players marking them. Midfield joggs, but they need to run, drag the Palermo players out of their position, create some needed distance between the marker etc.
Basically what I'm saying is that we need some Samba tbh to our central midfield, not semi-lazy Samba ala Diego, but someone very lively.
