Had an good game for the Azzurrini tonight against the English, should've scored 2 goals. This kid still gives me the feeling that we will end up regretting letting him go.

Bastoni also started for the Azzurrini and did ok although he was at fault for the 2nd goal.

If we had sold him to Juve or Milan then I would agree but Roma will sell him as soon as a big club shows interest in him

You have to factor the regret vs what we got out of it though.

As things stand, can’t say we get a lot out of it.

Nainggolan isnt a lot? 3 goals in 11 games for Inter so far? Including a goal that might be pivotal to us getting to the next stage of the CL?

The CL goal, if we get to the knock out alone, would be worth it.

It was a good move for both sides. Good to see Roma giving him a decent amount of playing time already at his age, which he wouldnt have got here.

Kudos to our coaches and directors for giving this kid away.

I am positive more than ever that we need Marotta in charge, our directors are without vision.

If we kept him he would have turned into Daniel Bessa 2.0 because we can't develop youth properly.

Yeah and that why this sucks. We somehow cannot detect Serie A -level talent in our youngsters. Like, Zaniolo is 19 years old and he's totally fine in Roma starting lineup.

Or, maybe we did in this case, but had to move him to make the N9 deal possible.

Hard to judge properly considering how little he played but some players look very good with limited mins and show lot of potential.

Good game by him. Hopefully he develops well.

But let's not overact here. This is his second decent game. When all injured Roma players are back, he'd be once again on the bench. And if he stayed here, i bet we'd rather play injured Radja than him. He'd be left out till 21-22 and become another Bessa, Obi or Laxalt. Not saying Benassi since Benassi is very good player.

We're being very ignorant of the circumstances. We needed some serious plusvalenza which we did get out of him. Without FFP restraints going forward expect less of these issues

I can't wait for our first FFP restriction / settlement agreement-free mercato in the summer of 2034.

This is the same club that plays Eder in useless minutes over Pinamonti. The same Eder who's taken those playing minutes with him somewhere in China.

Zaniolo should not have stayed on Inter's bench. That doesn't mean selling him permanently with no buying back option whatsoever.

Don't worry. Now we use Radja, Roma will develop Zaniolo for us. Some years later we will give them some cash (to show gratitude for the development) + another kid and enjoy Zaniolo :D As long as Monchi is still there.

Roma isn't Jube. They are a supermarket and sell everything at reachable price. The same club which sold Strootman for 8m profit.

No, they sold a fully depreciated Strootman for a 22 million capital gain.

sounds good and convenient, but will we ever grow a legend who would start his senior football career at Inter from day 1, without selling to other clubs for development? the one who would become interista to the bones.
p/s: I know the answer

Dude thank you! The kid plays quite a bit for them and waited for this match to show he’s decent. That’s all it is he was motivated vs the team that gave him up.

What, when Zaniolo is 30 and declining?
