At Inter we aim to be like Zanetti not Ramos.There are great captains who'd been receiving lots of red cards, Sergio Ramos is one of them. Nobody made him apologize because they know he is their captain and they owe him a lot for the success they achieved. Yes, he had been leaving his team 1 man down but he been making up for it with his outstanding performances too. Don't get me wrong, I hate him too, but I respect him for the captain he was. That's his sacrifice - his own reputation for his club's success.
By punishing Nico, the club just lowered his authority in front of other players and perhaps it alienated him from the potential arm band even farther. Now he will reconsider his attitude and believe me it will reflect negatively on his dedication too.
