Fair enough again he would not be my first pick either, but i also would not have a problem with him being captain. Also did he demand the captaincy?

Also for the record Barella is not an inter fan he stated so himself often enough, yes there is the picture of him in an inter jersey as a kid but he gave an interview just before this season or early in the season where he wanted to clarify that he never was an inter fan. He said something along the lies of he liked inter but he always was and is a cagliari fan. As i understood it we were his favourite big team but thats it.

If people want italian and interista they d have to want bastoni
if rumour is to be believed, then yeah, he did demand the captaincy. Of course there's no concrete proof of that as far as I know, but politics shouldnt influence the captain, it should go to the most appropriate person who IMHO is Skriniar.

Bastoni as captain in a few years would be perfect. He doesnt have the same petulant streak that Barella does, he has a lot more maturity then you'd expect for someone of his age, and hes going to be super fucking experienced if he keeps developing over the next few seasons,

I read it on the news where they posted Inzaghi's interview where he says Barella apologized to everyone. Not sure if he was forced though. I commented thinking he was.
Inzaghi saying barella apologized to the team and staff is not holding him publicly accountable. Barella obviously knew he had made a big mistake. If barella had been made to face the press and apologize yes but that's not what happened here.

Barella made a big mistake, he apologized. We move on as a team.

Inzaghi said Barella has apologised to the team and to him personally. That's a good sign. Now let's move forward, because everyone can make mistakes (including Vidal if anyone still remembers). But Barella needs to redeem himself on the pitch. His performance has been truly unimpressive in the past month or so. If he's serious about being the captain, he really needs to cut his excessive hand-throwing gestures on the pitch. Brozo used to have the same problem but has matured A LOT this season.

Also, he apologised to that jerk Militao before getting the red card.

I can absolutely sympathise with Barella due to the nature of Militao's foul. It's one of those unbelievably annoying ones that trigger an exaggerated reaction.

A few months back in the supermarket, someone drove their shopping cart into my foot from behind which took my foot out of my shoe.
Did it hurt? Maybe a bit.
Was I in danger? Not really.
Did I want to uppercut the nice old lady who apologised immediately? Yes.

These things happen and I am sure Barella learned a good lesson with this incident. Let's move on.

Did anyone here mention that he missed to hit the target from probably the best goal scoring opportunity throughout the game?

And then managed to lash out because he was underperforming

We are in the phase of wanting to uppercut right now. Go with the flow man

What a fucking joke, if it's red for Barella then it's red also for Militao. I got robbed in front of my face.

No, Barella hit Militao. Militao went to the challenge too violently and got a yellow card for it. Barella hit Militao after the challenge. That's red card every time, unlikey too violent challenge which is a yellow card usually.

I don't understand that. A hit on his calf is deemed red. But someone like Cristiano flykicking a GK in the face is not? There been way worse things not deemed a red and also I think most of the red card is because of the face expression Barella has when hitting him

What's so hard to understand? The intent of Barella's punch was obvious.

🤷‍♂️If I had the intent to hurt someone it wouldn't be hitting them on the calf. Maybe Barella is just retarded,if he wanted to earn a red card then do it the right way.

Didn't he do it the right way? Since, well, he got the red card.

Honestly this discussion is fucking stupid. Those kind of hits, happening after a play, specially as retaliations are always red cards. Targeted to the face, chest, calf, you name it. He punched, got red. End of story. There's no conspiracy.
