Saying French people are the dirt of society isn't racist? If you would've said black people are the dirt of society then everyone would be flipping on you.

Anyways I hope we can get a good 2nd center and a draft pick for Souray

The difference is Black people are most respectable then French Canadians.......and your still talking....your a joke just shut it.

Knightz, enough with this discrimination against French Canadians. Once or twice can be tolerable, but not that much. I notice dislike of French people here on the forums (France sucks etc.) and I don't know if this stems from racial hating or whatever.

And honestly, I lived with both Anglo and French Canadians, both have good and bad like any other people. But I noticed that as soon as you step out of Quebec and Ottawa, hatred against French rises as you go west.

In any case, French people rule and they have more art and class in their pinky finger than alot of other people.

Hope they will get rid of d.ckhead Satan and then they will have ideal line-up for play-off finals.

Leafs 4-5 Habs which was probably the best game I've watched all year. Bryan McCabe and Sundin are pussies!

Florida Panthers is a shockingly bad franchise. How can one team make such ridiculous trades, year after year? The attraction that caused us to trade Roberto Luongo has been traded to Detroit. Todd Bertuzzi was traded for Shawn Matthias (anyone heard of him? didn't think so) and a bunch of draft picks.

Fantastic trade. That Luongo deal just keep getting worse and worse. We now traded Luongo for Allen, Auld and Matthias.

On top of that we gave away Kwiatkowski to Penguins for a fourth-round-pick in the draft. Gary Roberts was also traded to Penguins for Noel Welch- a farmteam defenceman.

Saves money, yes, but we know that Florida never use those money anyway. Damn idiots.

Well Jimmy, it's not like Luoungo was going to sign with Flordia long-term anyway. They were going to lose him regardless, I think their hand were tied.

Damn, too bad seeing the Canadiens free-fall like that. It looks like Huet's absence was too much to bear.

Bouillon is a nice player, but damn, Tkachuck got him well, never mess with Hossa again!

I read somewhere that Paul Stastny broke (or just equalized?) his father's record in number of consecutive games with at least 1 point in a rookie season.

Now it is your turn Paul to choose your citizenship - Slovakia or Canada :boxing:

Bouillon ****ed up Tom Poti and Darcy Tucker so I don't know how Tkachuk got him like that. Bouillon was nailing him at the beginning but the size proved the difference.

I haven't followed Stasny's season, but that sounds really good, I guess Malkin it taking all the attenion.

If I were him, I'd go for Czech (sorry Michal:D ) He has much of a chance making it than in the Canadian team.

About Tkachuck, he is no Poti or Tucker, he can own those two in one fight. The guy can score 50 (or used to) and rack up 100 min's in penalties.

It wasn't even close LOL, 5 seconds and Bouillon was returning to the bench.

You are banned.

Hey Mike, Jaro Halak seems to be a key to play-off for Canadiens. Even he is from Slovak version of juBentus, I love this guy.

edit - nhl.com

Halak is no overnight success

Goaltender Jaroslav Halak has quietly become one of the better stories in the NHL. But his path to the Montreal Canadiens isn’t one any other goaltending prospects are likely to follow.

Halak is soaking in his NHL experience this season, knowing the odds were stacked against him reached "The Show" at all this season considering the Habs boasted Cristobal Huet, David Aebischer and top prospect Carey Price, who was the fifth-overall pick in the 2005 Entry Draft.

Halak was selected in the ninth round in 2003. He was the 271st overall selection. Only 21 players were drafted after him. The 2003 draft will long be remembered as one of the best in history producing big-name players like Marc-Andre Fleury (first overall), Eric Staal (second) and Thomas Vanek (fifth). Halak is a part of a growing number of prospects from the later rounds who are making an impact in the NHL.

“I just try to focus on winning games and have fun out there," Halak said of his stint with the Canadiens. "Keep them in the game. That’s what I am trying to do."

In 2003, he played in Slovakia before moving to the Lewiston Maineiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2004. The following season, Halak appeared in 20 ECHL games for the Long Beach Ice Dogs and then was promoted to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, where he played in 13 games.

In his short NHL stint, Halak has thrived with more experienced defensemen around him.

“Obviously I am very happy that right now I am here because last season I started the season on the East Coast,” he said. “So I am really happy that I called up. Last season the same thing happened, the goalie got hurt. It’s great that they gave me a chance to play.”

Halak can handle the puck with relative ease and he gets the job done without a lot of flash. He doesn’t panic and positions himself well. If he has a clear view of the puck he doesn’t give up a lot of “soft” goals.

It’s rare when a young goalie can be inserted into a playoff chase, but the Carolina Hurricanes rode Cam Ward, who was also the same age last season, straight into the Stanley Cup Final, eventually winning it all.

"We are riding him into the ground,” teammate Chris Higgins said. “I don’t know maybe he doesn’t understand the pressure he is under. He is doing a hell of a job for us and I am really to see him smiling after a game.”
