Nooo you wouldn't want the prestige leaving the stadium would you now, the stadium should be remembered for our great and honest history - not your dirty Serie B history...

This news is like a year old or so. After this we renewed our contract with the city for about 99 years to come or something(I thought Inter did the same...?). Anyway I hope you get out and leave San Siro to it's original squad alone.

the contract we have expires in the summer of 2010. But the city council want us to pay more then we already do, which is already way to much for a stadium that is getting worse and worse.

No wonder that Moratti is considering to build a new stadium.

Well if Inter are paying so much yes they should move to another stadium I;d love to see a stadium where Inter alone can make their legacy and we won't have to play games a week late in the Champions League.

I'm still not very sure how I feel about us having a new stadium. For me Inter was always at Meazza. Maybe it will be Moratti 100th aniversary present for Inter, the fact is that after a small break the rumours of Inter getting a new stadium are back, even in Portugal we heard about it in the newspapers (because they say the Benfica's stadium may work as a model to ours).

I don't know if its true but I know that many fans will be irritated with this change I hope Moratti has the right arguments to make everybody see his vision the the new Inter.

Sadly the pitch at the meazza is awful but if we could kick out milan it would be OK. Now i dont want to leave the meazza but if we don t find a solution wich improoves the condition of the pitch we just have to leave

Yeah the Meazza has been up for a long time the pitch is terrible so we don't need it.

I would be sad to leave the Meazza, but the pitch really is terrible. A new stadium like Allianz Arena would be great, but it depends on if we can afford it. I saw Moratti in an interview talk about building a 50000 stadium where the fans are nearby the pitch, but I dont know. I can see it now - The Facchetti stadium.

 No ways I want to leave the San Siro.

It would make me very very angry at Moratti.

Or maybe we could make an exact replica and remove the negatives in this, which arent many!:boogy: and call it the Stadio Facchetti :star:

I'd rather see Moratti invest in some talented young players over the next few years, than splurge for a stadio we don't really need. Plus, if Italy gets Euro 2012 renovations will be sure to happen and Meazza will be as sexy as ever.

Agreed, b-rad, but the Meazza is an issue that has to be solved. The pitch can't take having two teams playing 30-40 home matches every season. It's obvious that this will make the pitch even worse, also due to the Meazza's design. The Olimpico doesn't have this problem. Now, Lazio and Roma rarely play 30-40 matches at home each season, but Olimpico's pitch would still manage this better than Meazza, due to it being so open design-wise. Much of it depends on the amount of sun light reaching the field.

The Meazza should either belong to Inter or Milan, the other team moving to another or new stadium.

A few months ago I read somewhere on the internet with that Milan guy who's name is also Adriano, can't remember how his name is further... uhhh Gilianni or something.

But anyway he said something about sharing a stadium with Inter is very difficult and that they're considering building a new own one.

Don't take this too serious.

I still haven't been to San Siro, but I'm for a new stadium with no rental fees, with a new fantastic pitch for our technical players (and here we would again spend less money, since San Siro has to make big new grass implantations every year), a stadium only for us that is not shared with the bbilanisti, a stadium 'english style' for even better atmosphere so every opposing team would play like in hell, and a modern stadium that would make the history of another Grande Inter...

i heard that Italy does not allow any of the stadiums to be owned by a person or a club due to political conflicts and history.
Even if Moratti builds a new stadium, he will have to pay the rent. Though I believe he was planning to build it outside of the milano city, reducing the renting price.

I think everybody should prepare themselves on an announcement this summer. Moratti will surely start the building of a new stadium after the recent events. This week has made it obvious which team who truly belong at San Siro. Silvio Berlusconi and Milan has been the masterminds behind the recent improvements, and only thanks to them, we can have people attending the matches. It's been dead silent regarding us.

New stadium within four-five years is my prediction.

I think the announcement will come within 24 hours of the law being changed. 100,000 capacity anyone?

Woudnt it be great? I mean we can build a new stadium where everything will be black and blue. Its not that I wont miss the San Siro, but it wont be the same if we dont have the fans.:(
