I also read somewhere that Milan wants to leave and tha would be great. Then if Inter do manage to buy San Siro they can completely renovate it and make it one of the best stadiums in the world :interscarf:

But I don't think Milan will have new stadium after this scandal

MILAN - Before leaving this evening's F.C. Internazionale S.p.A. shareholders meeting at Milan's Teatro delle Erbe, Massimo Moratti replied to questions from journalists.

In Basel this summer you spoke about your dream of having a stadium all for Inter. Have you stopped dreaming of this?
"Absolutely not. It's something we're studying and investigating thoroughly. We consider it to be an interesting option. But it's too soon to give answers."

So, I think one day Moratti will announce the desision to build new stadium :yeay:

Let BBILAN build a new stadium. They can finance it with the money they'll recieve from a new, even more outrageous sponsor than Bwin.

Playing in Huggies Stadium, they will have the latest facilities, while poor old Inter will have to make do with the nostalgic Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.:D

However, if we do become the sole team of the Meazza, some minor changes need to take place.

I would like to see all seats painted black and blue to represent our colors. Over the seats on one long side of the field, "INTER" in white block letters. On the seats directly across, "1908" in yellow block letters.

It would end up looking much like this except without all that ugly red!

New Inter Stadium On The Books Moratti spoke about the possibility of building a stadium solely for the Nerazzurri within the next 5 years, instead of sharing San Siro with their rivals Milan.

Inter’s excellent start to the season has prompted President Massimo Moratti to look into new projects for his side, and one of these ideas is that of building a new stadium just for Inter and its fans which would be ready in 5 years time.

“It’s a managerial project which interests us,” admitted Moratti. “Surely with the San Siro matter, we have lost many years.

“And the council of Milan should start a serious confrontation with us: otherwise the mayor would be using dictatorship methods.”

Another matter which is currently important to Moratti is that of Adriano’s recovery.

“I know that he is working a lot in these days: I hope that on his return he shows what he’s capable of doing. However, against Reggina I’m curious to discover the Crespo-Cruz duo, which fascinates me a lot.”

Inter will in fact host Reggina on Sunday before next week’s top of the table clash against Palermo.

So it seems we will have new stadium in 5 years... This is good IMO. San Siro is our home, but I don't want to share the home with another... So it will be all ours. And I guess it would be one of the best and most modern stadiums in the world..

i have always wanted a stadium for us. I wud luv it.

a 70000 stadium, fans close to the grass instead of some meaningless running tracks ... state of the art architecture. a museum.

We have 86000, we are relatively close to the grass, we have a musem, and most of all our stadium has a history. We definetely shouldn't go. Moratti has sighted a couple of places in western Milan apparently and wants our stadium to be modelled on Basel's or Benfica's stadiums - God help the Ultras...

We should never move to a new stadium.

To be honest, nothing could be better than the San Siro. Never mind the size, what about its history, its traditions? It's literally soaked in decades of glory, triumph, misery, and the like. Nothing could ever replace the Giuseppe Meazza, IMO. :)

Ciao,
Tim

Still, something that is truely ours to witness OUR successes and failures would be awesome, but I would be an opposer of moving though because of GZ's history. It's a win win situation for me though :)
And remember: we are the intruders ;), Milan were here before us, until we came and then even gave it a name which had to do with us more than them, man that's is so rude :D:D:D:D:D:D

Yeah Amrcy I agree... Let's be objective, if someone needs to move, that's us, not Milan...

The only reason to stay at San Siro is it's history and tradition. But since I have never been one to live in the past I would vote yes to the move. San Siro's pitch is terrible is not up to standard. Our players deserve a better surface.

If we move to a new stadium. We control ticket prices and the revenue we make if we stay at San Siro we have to share it with the Milan Muncipality. It makes perfect economic sense to move.

Please refrain from calling it the 'San Siro'

Anyway, how much of an economic set back would it be to go through with this project?

If we change Stadiums could you imagine how hectic it would be in the city of Milano with inter playing and ac playing in there own stadium .

Why cant the san siro just get a new pitch and fix it up a bit?
