That's not a real win, and you know it. We haven't had a legit win there in years.

If it's not real, we wouldn't be in the Coppa Final, and you know it. :D If you were asking about league game where games wouldn't go beyond 90 mins then the answer is 1997/1998 but since then Napoli has only played in Serie A for 5 seasons including this season. The record in San Paolo is 0-2-3. But even with that statistics, it doesn't mean we are gonna lose forever in San Paolo. There must be one time when we can beat them on their grounds. It might be today but certainly it didn't go that way. Still, I believe that Inter I knew are capable of beating everyone if they wanted to.

Of course it doesn't mean we're gonna lose forever, who said that?

Inter are capable of beating anyone they want to? What does that even mean? Maybe you're just wording it poorly, but what you're saying is ridiculous.

Can we beat Napoli at the San Paolo? Of course we can. But it's not simply a matter of wanting to.

Imagine if Leo plays Kharja next week and he doesn't give even 1 minute to Cou now when we are 2nd... :wth:

Die Kharja, and die Leo for playing him!

lol, I'm sure Cou will play next match, even if Kharja plays Cou will be playing on a wing. I was actually surprised he was in the bench, in the last weeks Obi was prefered by Leo but not this time.

Yes, i agree. it is not simply a matter wanting to.

Probably I didn't make myself clear and people don't really get it or it is just too philosophical or whatever. When I said 'if Inter want to win', I meant that when everyone share the same passion and show the desire to snatch a win, they work together, the whole team with the same spirit, good passings, full concentration, etc etc etc. Of course, it is not as simple as 'if we want to' and then we walk in the park but everything should be initiated with 'i want to win'. And, when Inter have that attitude they could win against any sides in the world because they have almost everything needed. World class players on every parts of the pitch, etc etc. Most of games that Inter lost are because they didn't fight and didn't look to win the tie. We won some games with this 'I want to win' attitude.

As for today's game, it was pretty clear that Inter didn't go for a win. (Although I only watched since Walter came in).

In the first half, it was a fantastic match with chances created by both teams. We hit the post with Maicon and the goal by Eto'o was just grande. In the second half, both teams were happy with the result because it secures the goals of each team (2nd place for Inter and CL for Napoli) so they were just passing the ball around for 47 mins.

The match started with a furious Napoli, they were attacking. Suddenly Eto'o blasted the ball in the goal (shot from 20m). Then Napoli were pushing us back for like the rest of the match. We had not many chances, but had some. Kharja lost control in the 16. Maicon hit the post. Milito nearly missed Then a goal from Napoli came from a discutable position. Maggio run off the lines of the pitch
the ball ended to him so he came back on, and passed the ball to Zuniga ,who scored. Then a tactical failure of Leo was the centre of the match. Which became extremely boring. Napoli didn't do much. We couldn't do anything.

Well played, and I'm glad to see Napoli in the Champions League instead of those low lifes at Juventus. The San Paolo is the only stadium I visited in Italy, and along with the City it really is a breathtaking place. Great performance by us, appreciate the effort of the players and the Eto'o's hard earned goal but consideration must be reserved for Napoli. Buona fortuna in Europa alla citta' napolitana.

He is now ahead of Ronaldo, but the record still remains at 38 goals.

A hattrick in the last league game and the deciding goal in the final of the coppa. No problem. ;)

I hope he's still with us next season (I don't see a reason why not though) and scores 40 or something :p

Lol what the f were our players doing on the Napoli goal? Mou would've shit his pants if that happened under him. Oh and that Eto'o guy is pretty good. Quite sure we would be mid-table without him.

As Inter fans I believe we should all feel ashamed of ourselves because of the way our team has approached the game with Napoli. There was absolutely no desire and motivation in the second half to win the game. Aside from Nagatomo, Maicon, Cesar and Eto...all the other players had ZERO motivation. It's really sad...especially if we look at how we conceded the goal....ridicoulous back pass from Zanetti...and all the other defenders watched Zuniga score. Maybe it's time for Zanetti to retire and take Matterazzi with him.

I believe Inter could have easily won the game if all players would have wanted to do so....I think what they did is very disrespectful toward the fans and especially the fans who travelled to Naples to see the game.

Look at Mourihno's Real Madrid....even though they have lost the title fight....they still win their games in style...6-2 with Sevilla and 3-1 with Villareal. That's a winning mentality that Inter has lost once Mou has left. I wouldn't be surprised if we give the cup to Palermo.

I have also lost a lot of money by betting on Inter this season....draw with Napoli, 2 loses with Schalke, loss with Parma....I think Leonardo is not a good coach....he got lucky with Bayern and then he should have really won the games with Schalke. If you can't beat Schalke at home in the CL quarter-finals then what chance do you have against Barcelona or Man U???

Inter didn't need to win and it is better to save the draw in the end rather than fighting all out and get players injured. We still have Coppa Final while securing draw means we have reached the top. It's not sad at all. It is understandable especially when Napoli didn't try to win the game as well. Napoli were happy with the draw, so why would we need to spoil everyone's party? Napoli had a rare deserved party. It was a gift from us for Napoli but, hey, they didn't challenge our 2nd spot.

Now, about the goal. I'm ashamed if you call yourself an interista tbh. Zanetti has made almost 750 appearances for Inter. Now, just because he made a rare mistake over 16 years, you want him out of the club? :palm: I seriously can't believe I read that. :palm:

Look at Mourihno's Real Madrid....even though they have lost the title fight....they still win their games in style...6-2 with Sevilla and 3-1 with Villareal. That's a winning mentality that Inter has lost once Mou has left. I wouldn't be surprised if we give the cup to Palermo.

When Mourinho was at Inter, he sacrificed a lot of games to concentrate on Champions League. It's the same thing as this Napoli game. We sacrificed it for the sake of the Coppa. If the winning mentality has lost, we wouldn't beat Bayern, we wouldn't beat Lecce, we wouldn't beat Cesena, we wouldn't beat Lazio as well.

The reason why Mou still win all his games:
1. There is no competition in La Liga. Without Mou, RM can easily beat any side except Barcelona.
2. There is no more desire for Mou unless he beats all the remaining sides as his season has finished.
3. Mou needs to save his ass from being sacked, so he needs to show he is capable to win things. Leo has his ass pretty much safe.

Now, i know. You're sad because you lost the gamble, not because Inter didn't play good. That's why you couldn't accept why we didn't need to win and we had a win-win deal with Napoli. What a defence mechanism. :palm:
