[Choppin Onions]

Over the past week, I caught 2 great De Niro films - GoodFellas and Heat.

Whilst the former was excellent, the latter was simply out of this world.

Neglecting the plot for a second, the cast alone was enough to ensure Heat achieving immortal status amongst movies for decades. I mean, De Niro & Pacino together in the same movie? Woah, sign me up!

Now, the plot, direction and cinematography for Heat is simply perfect. I won't give anything away, but anybody who has had the fortune of watching so excellent a movie must agree that the ending truly belongs in the annals of cinematic history.

The cast is great, the storyline is perfect, the music is excellent. These elements combine beautifully to create a masterpiece in Heat.

Catch it if you have haven't had the fortune of doing so.

One of my all-time favorites. The De Niro and Pacino scene alone is worth the price that I paid for the dvd. :star:

BTW has anyone see the movie Hooligans with Elijah Wood? I heard it's pretty good and I love footy/hooligan related movies. Football Factory was awesome. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you watch it asap.

Putting De Niro and Al Pacino together in a movie is like putting Thierry Henry & on-form Adriano on the field, guaranteed to score! Anyone remember Godfather II? Whoa...:dazed: Though they never had a scene together...

LOL, thanks bro! I came to Toronto many times, at least once a week last month. However, I just go to downtown for the work, and then come back. If I have to stay overnight, I go to my sister's and sleep over. For some reason, I just can't wait to get out of Toronto everytime.

But hopefully soon, we will meet up at that Jazz bar in downtown, that's one thing I'd like about Toronto!

They don't have many scenes together in Heat, but when they do, trust me, it's good.

I havent been to it, but i actually think its going on at the moment, because i jus checked the site.

Sadly, im going to Dubai until August,so we could meet up around then.
I have nother choice of jazz places back home that im seriously going to this time. As of late, Dubai has been paying attention to its enteirtainment section..theatres(plays) and piano bars all over the city now, which is good news.

I liked V for Vendetta one of the very best movies I have seen in theatres in a long time. interista7 I dont know about you but it reminded me so much of Orwell's book 1984 it wasnt even funny. If you liked that movie and the sort of dystopian theme it had going for it and have not read that book you should really check it out of my favourties for sure.


We should start an all time favourite Movies thread.

PS: anyone here a fan of the movie Donnie Darko? Came out in the early 2000s and is the type of movie when you see it you are like what the hell was that? But when you watch it again you begin to appreciate the director's true message. Very cool I highly recommend it if you are into the type of movie that will not hand you the story on a silver platter but require you to not only see what is going on but think about it critically.

thank you fellow interista's, you have persuaded me to go watch the movie, btw have you guys seen scary movie 4, it is pretty funny random, i'll probally rate it 7 out of 10, simply due to the low hearted, random funny jokes
