You're right that there's nothing wrong with not hating the opposition, you shouldn't have to in order to justify yourself as a "true fan" or whatever. But it's wrong to attack people who do, esp. local fans who consider it as more than just a simple rivalry. Everyone sees football differently, some (like you) aren't bothered with what other clubs do, others can't stand how their rivals act. To me, I think rivalries exist for a reason. Some are merely competitive but others are beyond that.
or some like him who likes inter but loves juventus.
