I think it's madness to sell him now. Pure madness if the figure is something like 10m€.

We have Porto matchup to play. CL quarters is literally worth that 10m€. Then we have the top4 fight and without Skriniar that doesn't look all that certain anymore. That's worth 50-60m€ (CL participation).

So unless we have a brilliant plan to replace Skriniar immediately in this window, doesn't make any sense to collect some modest fee, while jeopardizing the rest of the season.

Not true. Why Real, PSG, Chelsea, Bayern, City, Liverpool, United don't loose their stars if they don't want to? Even Barcelona who is financially broken will never put Pedri on market and nobody is even trying to make an offer.
Last I checked Barca managed to lose messi on a free...
Inter used to be as all those clubs mentioned. Sadly currently we don't have money unlike those above.

Agreed provided his head hasn't been turned so badly that he has mentally checked out.

Not True also. They wanted new era without Messi, everybody knows this.

Of course we don't have money, but you said even big clubs have to sell for a good offer, in fact they don't do it.

Sadly we are out from the big clubs list.

I wrote that. I didn`t say they have to sell. But even big clubs sell if they believe is in their interest (big offer, have already a replacement). And examples are enough. CR7 two times, Coutinho, Hazard, Casemiro... only a few that comes in my mind.

He would live in Milano as long as he wish. A player cannot be transfer if he doesn`t agree.
Well.. Maybe you are right, and then Inter will give him a cheap contract offer and he has to sign it if he want to stay, or else the fans will say he after money only if he moves to richer club who offer him the salary he deserved..

But he IS after the money only. Otherwise he would have already gone in PSG, not waiting for the summer.

We are bankrupt.... we can offer what we can offer even then 6 million for a CB is crazy for a team as broke as we are. We should have sold in the summer if he didn't agree.

I see the Hakan deal is 5 million + bonus think he should be getting less than that but still more than 5 million we shouldn't go for any player in our current financial state. If we have a top player and they want that huge contract let them go to a EPL team or Real/Barca. No one else are paying those crazy wages outside of Qatar.

Letting him leave isn't the problem. Him leaving for free when we could have had 50 million is the issue.

Skriniar contracts related it's recommended to ask the people who runs the club.

Not really their chances of winning champions league is good this season. Messi is only getting older and Mbappe doesn't want to be there.

Getting him for 10-15 million greatly increases their chance of winning the Champions league which is their goal. they want to be a Euro contender and the new Real Madrid or Bayern. To do that they need to start winning the Champions league consistently. Not blow 4 or 5 goal leads in the 2nd game like they have laughably done the past 5 years

If Biasin is to be believed. Inter are inclined to sell this window, but Skriniar is holding off to get his signing bonus. Again, it’s a colossal fuck up by the management and I don’t blame Skriniar. But also maybe he’s not the loyal JZ figure so many people desperately want to believe he is. He’s a professional and soldier and I’ll always appreciate him for it.

Our season is looking grim either way so 10-15 mil now is just fuck all if you miss CL and all that.
Also put things into perspective ... You are a worldclass center back playing for a team that is constantly looking for the next big transfer out and getting cheap replacements.

Even if they sold in the summer for 50 million, Suning would not have reinvested the money in the club. So it hardly matters if he leaves on a free.

I remember an article at the end of the summer where PSG warned Inter and basically said sell now or they would get him on a free transfer.

Obviously, Inter did not listen and cut off their nose to spite their face.

Getting skriniar increases their chance of winning chl? Lol
Bro skriniar for the last 2 years is not even the best defender in Inter not alone in Seria A. NOT NOT ALONE IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

There are probably many reasons to leave the club from his perspective.

  • The trajectory of this club is going downward. No doubt about it. For each mercato, we are selling key players for profit and replacing them with free agents.
  • We have so many free agents in the club, that they are probably advising Skriniar to do what is best for him
  • he has won every trophy in Italy, there is just the champions league trophy left for him
  • money

Why are you guys worried? Our Maestro Marotta did say it's easier to replace a defender than a striker so surely he has something under his sleeve in the event that Skriniar leaves this January/summer.
