Gotta love our management. Selling our starting GK while struggling to find a replacement is like selling your 5 bedrooms house with shit tons of stuffs in it while still browsing for a 3 bedroom downgrade. What a shit show.

there are plenty of replacements out there. Relax. Give them time. Shakthar have been spending the last few dayds in Milan, allegedly, to negotiate. If Trubin doesnt happen by, say, wednesday, then I'm sure we'll have a plan B

True, I didn't even think of wages. What was onana earning anyone know? Saving onana, handanovic, brozo, lukaku, gags, skriniar wages, we must be saving a shit load compared to our wages last year.

We should have just paid sommers fucking release clause.
I believe 3M net for Onana.

I'm not sure Sommer actually had a release clause. Rumours went from release clause to gentleman's agreement to no clause, etc.

you forgot D'ambrioso, Dzeko, Dalbert .... hopefully De Vrij salary is lower

So not sure how good this site is but the other I looked at had Lukaku at 25m last season in wages.... that can't be right unless it included Loan fee.... even then that is fking insane. Link

Going by smaller numbers
1. Brozo and Lukaku both cost 11m/ season = 22 m saved
2. Dzeko - 9m saved
3. Skriniar - 5.6 m
4. Handa - 4.6m
5. Onana - 3.9m
6. D'ambriso - 3.7m
7. Gags - 2.8m
8. Dalbert - 2.2 m
9. Bellanova - 1.6m
10. Cordaz - .3m

total = 55.7 m saved in wages + 18m Brozo + 57 m Onana fees = 130.7 m

Players who hopefully wages went down or will be sold
1. De Vrij - was on 7 m
2. Correa - 6.5 m
3. Gosen - 4.6 m

So wages saved if we get rid of the last 2 are 11.1 m + potentially 15m for Gosen + 10m for Correa = 36.1 m

Add those 2 together and we are at 166.8 (assuming De Vrij contract didnt change). I mean would have been so much better if we had 216.8 to actually get Skriniar money but o well.

Fine we gave a big wage increase to Cahla + Bastoni + potentially new Barella + Lautaro contracts to keep them here. Tho saved so much on wages hopefully the French free transfer guy isn't total shit and his wages end up being not so bad.

the two bold ones are links. The numbers on the 2nd one is even higher. Thats why I didnt use that. Either way with Wages we done really well. Should have def saved more than 1 million on De Vrij but what can you do.

Now it's really comes down to who can they bring in to replace those who have left. With the wages saved + money saved on transfers hopefully we can get a Solid GK and another CB. Let's not panic buy. I rather us keep the money we have for the winter and just get Sommer on Cheap wages as a stop gap.

Attack I say is about the same. Lautaro is 89% of our attack and he still here. Dzeko was a Zombie and not like Lukakus numbers are all that impressive last season. So hope the Thuram gets at least Lukakus production in terms of goals. I rather us give youth players a shot than panic buy Morata or random hyped players no one heard of 3 days ago.

MF we kept our starting 3 Mfs. Got rid of Brozo+ a decent prospect for an exciting prospect. Got rid of Gags so huge ++++. Would have preferred we kept some youth players for the bench but they are all leaving on loan.

Defense. While we technically have our starting 5 defenders..... Darmian, Dumfries and Acerbi shouldn't start on a team like ours. + getting De Vrij on the same salary is just silly. Def got worse + lost a 50m player. Not the highest expectations for the German kid nor do I think our defense is acceptable for a top 4 team. We just got super lucky last season.

GK ..... we have a youth player (who will go on loan once we get Sommer) + a guy from Series C..... haha so yea way worse.

We kept our core of Bastoni, Barella, Cahla and Lautaro. Hopefully Frattesi become part of the core team. Hopefully Fabbian is the real deal and Thuram isn't a shit French version of Correa haha. Than A+ mercado in terms of our budget and what we were realistically going to get.

I mean this isn't Fifa. I cant just trade De Vrij to Brighton for Caciedo + Money.

Usually in smart business we have to grab Trubin with 10m first before selling Onana. But Inter pocket is so pathetic.. we are so scared that ManUtd would withdraw their bid; then we have no money to pay Shaktar :palm:

For that same reason we shit our pants when the Saudis changed Brozo agreement. Neither could we afford freezing Correa to force him out, with or without Inzaghi favoritism.

Poverty is such a curse.

You do realize that Marotta isn't just the type who would learn from his mistakes.

Don't forget who has the final say as well, still swooning over a certain striker.

This has nothing to do with Marotta imo. It's a Zhang thing that Inter is not buying replacement before making the big sale. From what I recall of Marotta at Juventus, he would make the big buys (Pjanic, Higuain) before the big sale (Paul Pogba).

And was that Marotta or Agnelli? :)

Doesn't matter. If Marotta had Zhang's ok to make these moves before sales, he would.
