Medel, Erkin & Ansaldi look like the weak points in that line up. I agree with you, if we have any money to make 1 change, we need to focus on a Medel upgrade. Medel can be a good versatile backup (DM/CB) but not the first choice DM.

We could actually give Rube a run for their money,very very very difficult to actually make something out of it I know,I'm not naive but with Pogba gone,they weakened themselves a lot actually, he was very important for them the last time around. However they are used to winning and we are not and still they got Pjanic and Higuain,maybe we could.put up a fight till January like last season.They had this advantage last season,when we slipped and they raised like a fenix
A 2nd place then is likely as Napole rarely make 2 good seasons in a row and they sold Higuain their star and may lose Koulibaly as well (great df)

Oh come on. Because the guy played that position in a handful of games 4-5 years ago with Sporting B, you honestly think that means he would make a reliable person in that spot?

He is a talented player, so he could get by in any position, but we need to play guys in their best position, not in spots where they can just get by.

Exactly the same feeling for me. We will add 3-4 new players to our starting lineup but still it's Medel out there. So obviously it's a disappointment.

To be fair it could be a good way to lure a top class coach after Mancini leaves, presenting Joao Mario/GJ/*Insert young exciting talent here*/etc. as a welcoming gift. Whether any top class coaches are available next year remains to be seen though.

Regardless, I live in hope of a Kondogbia-Banega-Brozovic midfield if our midfield shopping is done for now, however unlikely it is.
