Icardi can be so much more effective with a lively Palacio on the park. The difference when Milito came on was huge as Icardi's lack of general involvement makes the attack very disjointed. He needs a guy next to him that will basically run tirelessly imo. I'd love to perhaps see him play with someone like Keita in the future.

This is kinda stretching it but...

Have you ever seen a striker as cold-blooded clinical as Icardi? Jesus H Christ it's scary how composed this guy is in front of goal. I honestly CANNOT remember the last time I see a striker who finish as well as Icardi.

I'm not saying he's the best striker of course, but in terms of converting the chances he earned and got, this guy is really fucking scary.

Yeah, perhaps the best pure finisher we've seen at Inter in quite a while. I feel he's probably a better finisher than even Vieri or Crespo. However, I'd still like to see him over an entire season to make a conclusive judgement on that. I really do hope this isn't just a period of his top form because he's still a bit of a liability when he's not scoring. He's also not shown much ability to combine with Palacio.

I look forward to the idea of seeing him play with wingers rather than a solitary strike partner. I feel it should help hide some of weaknesses in his game and he can focus more on just finishing.

Still not convinced by Icardi. Turning out to be a great CF but as a forward he can be too static. DOesn't look like he can lead the line alone i.e. not suited to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation.
