It seemed to me that he played pretty worried against Uruguay. I have no idea why.

It's only his 2nd cap and it's in a tough away match vs Uruguay. He is trying to convince all of Argentina, his teammates, and shut up Diego Maradona.

I can see why he would feel some pressure. Nothing a few goals can't cure

he simply doesnt have chemistry with other players,,especially di maria,,when higuain play di maria and messi already know where to put ball in the box,,since they already know his movement and what kind of ball he like,,
just like in first half,,icardi try o move away from his marker to anticipae cross from di maria,,just ike his second goal at roma,,but di maria simply put the ball in front the marker or near post,,hope for icardi fight with CB,,what icardi strong point is his movement on the box,,which is great but which also make him play better if his teammates know where he will be on the box,,

He did well to drag his markers around with his runs, but Dybala never really used the space that he created.

That Sapaoli coach is very smart but unfortunately he needs better wide backs and midfielders for his system.

He's ignoring Higuain, Aguero and Mascherano, he substituted very poor RWB and Dybala against Uruguay even that annoying commentator started to ask Icardi's substitution around minute 50.

I don't know in what kinda shape is Lamela, he would fit in well there.

He's added weight, but his quickness /decisiveness hasn't taken a hit. Probably just his speed that will, but given that he doesn't even possess the ability to dribble past anybody , it shouldn't matter
