Argentina have been like this all qualifiers basically, just depending on the odd Messi brilliance. I thought Sampaoli would change that, that's what he was hired after all. However, maybe he needs more time.

Icardi ain't the striker for this team unless things change...drastically. They would be better off using Aguero or trying to shoehorn Joaquin Correa into a false 9 role. That game was more physically painful to watch than any Inter game for the past 7 years. I will say though that Uruguay played a large part in that, they parked the bus and tried to hit on the counter from minute 1. Pitch was also extremely heavy, everyone looked like they were running in sand.
