Some footmercato reporter (France football paper) tweets that PSG and Inter is close to agreement for Icardi with the figure around 60m€.

That's a disappointment for me if there is even no bonuses added to that figure.

Really, super shitty time to sell. Hopefully it will be at least a bit higher.

Price drop from 70M option to 60M.

Icardi's wage upped from 8M to 10M.

Sounds like we agreed to pay Icardi to never return to Appiano.

tbh prices across the market have dropped, a small hit on icardi will pay itself off in terms of cheaper players being available elsewhere. In particular some of the bigger clubs like Barca might have to do quite a lot of selling to raise money, because of their high run costs overall.

Nicolo Schira: PSG are in very advanced talks with Inter to buy Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal. Leonardo has offered €55M+bonuses. Inter want €60M without bonuses. For him is ready 4-years contract with a wages of €10M a year. Last details to finalize the deal by May 31st

The contract was approved last August so it has nothing to do with current negotiations. Apart from the fact that contract is apparently not valid anymore if the option deadline passes and PSG has to negotiate again with Icardi.

60m€ is a disappointment for sure. 55+5m€ is a fucking joke. Let's wait and see how other clubs still keep milking us some big ass money for our targets.

The whole market is fucked this year, almost all businesses (apart from fucking Amazon and the like) got hit. So unless we hear about some club pulling off a mega deal afterwards (that’s if these figures are even true) , then I’m going to label this as a slightly unfortunate disappointment.

That has nothing to do with the actual market situation. There was never a club that wanted to pay more then 60M for Icardi.

Yeah the 110m is his release clause, not his value as many here claimed.

Inb4 anyone argues “if not Wanda he is worth bla bla”, sorry there is no “if”. They are “bought” as a packet.

According to Di Marzio, Inter and PSG are very close to find an agreement for Icardi and he expects the deal to be done by Sunday.

I am very happy to get rid of him, but I would be disappointed if we end up giving PSG a "COVID discount". I know other people think differently, but IMO we have already factored in a huge discount on Icardi at 70m (due to the whole situation blah blah) and there is no need to offer any further discount.

Icardi’s sale deal will ultimately be judged according to his replacement and his future performance at his new club, which has an element of hindsight.

I think many people would rather Icardi stay considering he is a proven goal scorer and is being sold for less than he is actually worth.

It’s better to sell Lautaro for big money and keep Icardi but that doesn’t appear to be an option.

Inter and Paris Saint-Germain have come to an agreement over the permanent transfer of striker Mauro Icardi according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera. The French champions have increased their offer to €60 million plus €5 million in bonuses and coupled with the potential sales of Lautaro Martinez and Ivan Perisic to Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively, the report goes on to explain that Inter could have the money in the bank to be able to afford two top players.

60mln + 5 bonuses is not so far from 70m. Couldn't Marrota find somebody else ready to pay more?
I've read that Chelsea, Aresenal and Napoli have some interest.

yeah, especially given the EPL interest. we could most definitely get more for him if we held firm.

Apparently the deal with PSG also includes a clause that would give inter 15mil if he is sold back to italy so we really trying to exile him from the peninsula..

The way some people still overate this guys market value after all his shit he put us through with his stupid ass wife and his mediocre season at PSG (which is proof positive he is not a world class TEAM player) is pathetic/laughable/astounding. Pick whatever adjective you want to not feel offended like a 20 year old snowflake.

Selling Icardi for 60M is a criminally low sum. He has shown that he is perfectly capable of replicating (if not exceeding) his goal tally in France and he is one of the best strikers in the world (I'd say at least top 10).

Sure, last year we barely managed to loan him out, but that's ex-ante. Looking at the situation after the fact, PSG is making a a hell of a bargain, especially considering that his troublesome package (Wanda) is unable to cause trouble in a country speaking a foreign language.

We are dogging a bullet if he doesn't end up at Rube, who would sacrifice their mothers to have our captain play for them. Fantastic deal imo if true. Even for 60. We really have no leverage, or whatever the word is.

Even if you are not sentimental about Icardi, it would be fucking annoying to have them parade Mauro around, as if we would cared. But that's how it would play out And all our games against then would be about him or the media would give their all to pretend it to be. Plainly bothersome. This is not bad at all imo
