It's Wallace. The first part of his reply was genuine, the second part was a troll. Mancini is the kind to drop people for no particular reason. Kovacic is an example. He has a history of having favourites and making stubborn poor decisions. Stankovic as a winger, Brozovic as an AM, what about Guarin? He also changed his mind on Montoya despite seeing enough to bring him to Inter in the first place.

Montoya's preseason was just as good as anyone else in our defense, and other than that he's played 1 game vs a Serie D side and now you're judging him? I don't think he's trash, but I don't think he's anything more than average either.

After all, he plays many for no particular reason, remember Stankovic as a winger or Brozovic as an AM, what about Guarin? After all he changed his mind for no particular reason on Montoya. His preseason was just as good as anyone else in our defense, he had 1 bad game since the beginning of the season vs a Serie D side and now you're judging him? I don't think he's trash, but I don't think he's anything more than average either.

i realise, he's just been pretty good of late (wallace, I mean)

On Montoya - yes, but the magnitude of his fuckups were unbelievable against the Serie D side. Couldnt even weight a pass correctly on more than one occasion. Maybe Mancini saw that in training? Maybe he thought he'd give him pre-season to start to get back into shape, but appreciated it'd need more time in the season itself?

All I know is that if Montoya vs that Serie D side is anything like what we see on the training pitch, its no surprise he's dropped.

Yes, but it's one game, a friendly no less. Montoya is undeniably a cut above Serie D and if that performance showed otherwise (it did), then it's not worth fretting over. Unless there are extenuating circumstances (mentality issues, settling in etc), I strongly doubt that's his level right now or what he's showing in training for that matter.

Like someone said before, his entire pro career Montoya was eating bench. It's up to him if he wants to change that! He needs to set his mind str8 and LEARN the tactical and defensive lessons of Italian football.

Anyway, it's not like this comes as a surprise, Montoya has always been average, I said at the time I don't know why the fuck we'd sign yet another mediocre fullback considering this squad is full of them.

My wild guess is "market opportunity". And because Darmian costed the same amount as Perišić :D

We pay €1m for 1 year loan. Honestly, this is a very low risk for a player that could be a starter for us.

If he's played enough [appearances clause, so him b] the loan automatically extends for another year, for another €1m. At this point we have a very good image of the player, how he adapted to tactical Serie A and how he delievered. If

Mandatory buyout clause of €6m will be activated if the Spaniard makes a certain number of appearances. I bet Mancini will only grant him to play if he DESERVES TO. :datass:

If we manage to get in top 3 this year, this guy will useless for us. With the income form CL we can buy (inter formula with) a quality full back like Bruno Peres and this crying for Barca cunt will be free to pick up his luggage and take off.
With so many fullbacks now, i won't be surprised if Mansini ship him in January tho.

That's just 433 with the fullbacks pushing up.

It's just odd because he looked pretty damn good in preseason against Bayern, etc. He was obviously being thought of as a starting level player at time. And now he's not even been given a single minute?

Mancini has shown he is happy to give any player time, Nagatamo came in from the cold despite good performances from Telles and Juan. D'Ambrosio as well got a shock first game against Roma. Maybe there is a reason he hasn't been given a chance? Can see him making his debut against Cagliari in the cup.

He is doing what Guarin should do for this team in terms of positioning on the heat map.

What's the problem with him? Has he done something very bad so he doesn't get to play at all? Nobody from the club talks in public.

His interview with Mundo Deportivo may have ruined his Inter career:

“I’m sad to be leaving, but [Coach] Luis Enrique told me he wouldn’t be relying on me"

“I wanted to leave in January, but I didn’t have permission because of the transfer ban. I’m on loan for two years, I hope I can go back."

“I realised I’d have to leave when I saw the club had renewed Dani Alves’ contract and signed Aleix Vidal."

Those words contradict the objective Mancini is trying to set for the boys in the media about Inter's status and desire to win again in comparison to the feeder club image Martin, mistakenly, painted the club with and may play under.

At least that's the assumption seeing how there's no disciplinary problems or even interest from the media to ask about him and the footballing aspects of his exclusion.

That interview was a real piece of art... I can't possibly imagine anything more stupid than saying those word. I mean, you're going to play for Internationale f.c., 3 champions leagues, how can you be THAT stupid? And that was twice stupid, first because you feel like that about Inter, and secondly because you didn't keep it to yourself.
