It's pathetic, someone needs to do something. Hope don't affects Balotelli in the mental aspect.

Stupid people. I am glad inter.it made an official statement
President Massimo Moratti and FC Internazionale express their total solidarity for Mario Balotelli and compliment the Italian player on the great maturity he showed in playing down the umpteenth terrible episode of intolerance that he was victim of.

I understand when people do stupid things at the heat of the moment. Sometimes emotions get the best of a person and they make irrational decisions such as racist chants.

However, here we have a group of people who planned and pre-determined a disgusting course of action. Someone actually went to the store, bought a bunch of bananas, gathered a group of people, and then waited for Balotelli.

Despicable.

I think when he walks away more and more and they see he isn't reacting like before and that he is simply he walking away, they will do these things less and less.

This sounds easy but it will take a lot of effort and discipline.

I imagine Hungary had a young black wonderkid having half (or even less) potential of this dude, I and each of hungarian football fans (extreme radical ultras included) would go crazy, they would cheer for the boy, chanting his name everytime he gets the ball etc.

this shows that these f*ckers can't understand how precious Mario is, also the total lack of respect for his commitment (towards Italian NT), and above all, total lack of maturity. SHAME ON YOU

Go Mario GO

Lippi stands up for Mario as well

Lippi Tells Balotelli: Don't Let Those Imbeciles Affect You

Italy national team coach Marcello Lippi tried to comfort Inter striker Mario Balotelli following the latest racial attack he suffered.

Balotelli was verbally abused by some Roma fans who also threw bananas at him as they tried to make fun of the 18-year-old.

"I tell Balotelli not to have his life affected by some imbeciles," explained the former Juventus coach as quoted by tuttomercatoweb.com. "I don't understand any kind of racism.

"I understand his disappointment, but Balotelli must look around him: he will see wonderful team-mates at Inter and in the Under 21 national team and then his friends and his family.

"He's surrounded by respect, affection and consideration."

This season Juventus had to play a match behind closed doors as their fans allegedly hurled abuse towards Balotelli during the home game against Inter.

In the meantime, Balotelli has had an excellent season, making 22 appearances and scoring eight goals.

Good

Sometimes "balls" is needed, but more often than not, it's better to have "brains" instead

well I don't really think that that example was too fortunate... remember the stabbing in Veszprem this year? the constant 'budos zsidok' in the stadiums???? I think hungary has waaay bigger problems with nationalism and extreme right wing support then Italy right now

wrong
1. the stabbing had NOTHING to do with racism.
2. I don't know where did you read/hear this ('budos...'). jews did not have anything to do with the whole thing anyway so it doesn't make sense at all.
3.what I stated is indeed a good example. for instance, we have Carlos Perez and Diaz (just to stick with handball), who are from Cuba, still they are respected and considered as 100% hungarian by any fans in the whole country. Same goes for Nicola Eklemovic, Natasa Janics, Koman Vladimir and the list could go on....
and what nationalism are you talking about? The fact that ppl are tired of the government's actions and they vote for other parties in EU elections (which dare to talk about real problems), is by no means nationalism. All over Europe, far right parties managed to get into the legislation (in Britain, Holland, Czech, France etc) so it's not like this would be so unique here.
and just for the record, as far as I know, Italy's recent government includes extreme right wing (i.e. fascist) party. Slovakia ditto. I can't even imagine this happening in Hungary because of sooo many reasons but above all, because ppl here are very very VERY tolerant and that's why we have so many minorities who actually have more rights these days than common hungarian citizens.
and since you're talking from serbia, I'm very curious of how you can judge us when your country is treating hungarian, albanian and any other minorities like inferior human beings or something...

Ok, personal political discussions can be done at the Politics thread or PM.

For you in Canada, The Score will show the U21 Eurpean Championship it seems. I don't know, I was surprised to see that, but we will get to see Balotelli.
