Mario's goal vs Denmark:

Why does Judas take free kicks when Mario is clearly better?!

I don't think Balotelli could have scored like Ibrahimovic did vs Fiorentina.
I've said it before, but my opinion is Balotelli should take all direct free kicks within 28m or so. Ibra is the better option for long range.

Great freekick Mario :star:. but still he isn't better than Ibra in freekicks, even power or technique, Ibra have times so are shooting free kicks and I think he got experience now, and about Balotelli it's still new we should give him more chances to shoot freekicks in our games, maybe he can transfer that chances to goal.

Forza Balotelli :star:

Ibra's freekicks base pure on power. It's just pure luck if he can angle the shot that it goes straight past the wall or that wall breaks and it goes through. Balotelli actually can take a freekick by curling and placing his shot. That's far more efficient, since the more you take them, the more you develop. And that leads to more dangerous shots. Ibra just blasts the ball every time and it's totally random if it goes even towards the goal or not.

Yeah spot on Cafe... Ibra's rocket shot mostly hits the defensive wall.

Well, and why then we don't give chance to Balotelli for shooting freekicks, me personally It'f first time so I'm showing Balotelli shooting freekick, maybe just 2-3 times before, but it's hilarious if Balotelli are better than Ibra for freekicks and he can't shoot, let Balotelli to tell what experience have with freekicks ;)

Obviously since Miha and Recoba we don't have anyone who can deliver good direct free kicks. I liked Balotelli's and Chivu's deliveries from indirect free kicks and Balo's corners are good. But, we really need someone who can score half-dozen free-kicks in a season and make half-dozen assists from indirects.

If you find the ratio of freekicks Zlatan has scored to the number of direct freekicks he has taken, you can immediately see what a terrible freekick taker he is. Actually, it's so obvious that you don't need to calculate anything to see it, even Adriano (the current one) is more accurate than Zlatan in taking freekicks.

Okay, that maybe an exaggeration, but the point is, Balotelli's freekicks are much more skill based, where as Zlatan's are much more luck based.

Direct freekicks aren't easy to score. I remember Mihajilovic fans laughing at Beckham because Beckham scored 3 direct freekick goals in one season, while Miha has a history of making a hattrick with freekick in a game. Beckham is considered as a world class kicker.

I also believe Ibra shouldn't be taking FK, but lets not expect too much from freekickers.

Well, can we at least have half-dozen free-kicks? It's a very good bonus to attacking play.

Ibra just blasts the ball and dreams to strike it like CR7. CR7 also blasts the ball, but at least he shows he can aim...Ibra just whacks it and hopes for the best.

Agreed.. Balotelli should take some freekicks, as hes clearly our best at that.. And i even believe he can take some from distance aswell, as he has some power in his shoots.. Lets not forget hes still just 18, so he will surely be better in time :)

What can you say about Mario Balotelli? He may be arrogant, he may be overly confident, he may get too many yellow cards, but say what you want because the fact of the matter is that the 18 year old Inter striker is the real deal. Balotelli is easily Italy’s best young talent and is definitely a future superstar. Technique, power, agility, speed, Balotelli has it all and the future is his (as long as he keeps his head on straight). An example of his talent came in 15th of October in Italy’s U21 play-off in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Balotelli missed the first leg because of the flu and Italy were drab and uninspired in the 0-0 draw. He recovered for the second leg and started upfront. In the 4th minute Italy obtained a free kick from around 35 yards out, Balotelli stepped up to take it, and that happened. A perfect free kick, hit with power and accuracy that just blazed into the top corner. (Thank God Giovinco was suspended or else Balotelli wouldn’t be taking that free kick, if anyone remembers Giovinco went on a little rant a month ago saying how he has seniority on the U21 squad when it comes to free kicks). All I can say about that goal is “wow”.
And after that match, then his record was :In 3 U21 games, 3 goals.

Just, Forzza Mario!!
