You guys act like Saudi clubs are basing their offering prices on talent. They’re not trying to win Champions League, they are trying to bring attention to their league and thus raise the profile of their country. Brozo ain’t moving the needle there.

Unfortunately prior to this season Inter has been just about irrelevant on an international stage since over a decade. Our players aren’t on posters in little kids bedrooms outside of Milano. Even buying mid table Premier League players brings more “prestige.”

With that being said losing Brozo would hurt like hell. He’s one of us. He damn near feels like a youth product he’s been here so long. I honestly think he’s going to play his best football over the next 2-3 seasons. His position you can play at a high level till mid 30s. This isn’t the same as holding on to 31 year old Maicon. I’m not sure 25 million can replace what we will lose with him. This sale would feel very banter era like. Kind of like when we sold Eto’o for a similar fee and you just knew we were no longer a serious club. Different players and different management obviously but this one would feel equally slimey to me.

If that is the case then Brozovic should worth more than Ruben Neves. 70m. He was the finalist on all the biggest tournaments on the planet, at both club and international level. Should bring more exposure than a random Wolves.

That said i try to understand how come we don't get better offers. You guys complain on why we are ( according to the media) considering such a low offer from the Saudi's. But on the other side why is no other big club going after him and offering more ?
If he is as good as we make him to be and with all the reputation of a CL final and NL final with club and NT why isn't there a bidding war for him when its clear that we would be open to sell?

We tend to underestimate how big of a club we are and how much we pay our players. When we decide to sell someone there aren't too many clubs who can afford buying from us because on top of the transfer value there is a big salary to be taken over as well. In that sense i can name just Real , Barca , Atletico, Bayern , PSG and 6-7 Premier League clubs who can do that. And honestly if you have the money of the above clubs why should you invest heavily (more than 20M) on a 30+ player who isn't bad but isn't the best either when you can go and invest on a top potential.

2/3 years ago we wanted to take Modric for free from Real M just because we considered him old to deserve a transfer fee and he went on to win Ballon Dor and still plays at the top so we shouldn't be suprised that 20M is all we get for Brozo

Imo teams in our financial state should always cash in on players like Brozo. I love the guy, but he’s soon to be 31, isn’t a sure starter anymore and we have two other players who are at their best on his best position too.
