I'm still proud of getting to the CL final but no sincere fan can walk away without feeling a tinge of regret about some of the choices Inzaghi made. If we gave it our best shot, everyone played out of their skin, etc, it's a different story. But honestly, in terms of the microscopic of this game and the decisions, we can't look ourselves in the mirror and admit we played as well as we could (in terms of tactics as much as effort). In the macro of the CL run we can walk away with our heads held high.

Like, tbh, vs Bayern we all knew that was the right Inter line up, irrespective of the result, and that Bayern tried their best and were outplayed by us.

We all know leaving this that that wasn't the best Inter line up, a different manager may have made a difference, and that we.made some poor choices. Based on how city player, this was winnable.
It was the right line-up. Lukaku is Lukaku. Look at their goal and him being a lazy fuck.

I will end posting on here with one sentence: Brave soldiers lost the battle because of a coward general. Good night everyone
I will say even for me as an Inzaghi hater is unfair to put it all on him. Batella, Lautaro, Hakan were excessively disappointing, and in any world they should have been starters. You can discuss the decision to start Dzeko, and I do believe that would have made a major difference.

I was for Lukaku to start. But to blame Inzaghi for this loss is pathetic. Lukaku came and guess what, he fucked up. Like always in big games. So Inzaghi was right afterall.

It was the wrong decision to start Dzeko over an In-form-Lukaku and that's on Inzaghi. He trusted Dzeko and so he's to blame. But I don't see Inzaghi as the reason we lost. It's not like he brought Gags. XD

No, he is not to blame. I would blame him if we lost 3 0 or more. Lukaku is a clown. Showed again tonight. Fuck him.

I don’t know, nobody cares how we played well and actually in upperhand against Pep’s City but they remember their treble, well, oiled/sport washing treble or whatever. But for me I would cherish this because I don’t know how and when we have it again for long time and I can share my feeling with my family, my kids.

Our performance is actually being overrated here. They were so bad and a part of it was definitely us but also it looked like the pressure got to them.

My biggest gripe was the decision making in the final 3rd. It’s incredible how many times we picked the wrong decision.

Calhanoglu and Dzeko in particular were disgraceful tonight. Lukaku missed a big chance but he needed to start. At least stuff happens, we wasted 60mins with Dzeko sigh. Oh well, this will one will sting for a while. Would have rather got hit for 6 than lose like that
This is the proper summary of the game. Also Barella's first decisions were awful. We really could have won this game. Luck was not on our side.

By playing an immobile old tree rather than a mobile striker? As I said coming into the game it didn't make sense and I think it was demonstrated that I was right rbh
So all 3 defenders were just walking around not guarding dzeko right? What if inzaghis tactic was to tire out the defenders so he could serve Lukaku in his a silver plater? Lukaku just couldn't capitalize it.

Anyway I'm done with this circle jerking, congratulations, you were right.

You would expect all those journalists who declared game over after the finalist were known would be humbled by how Inter outperformed City, but I bet they won't.

Anyway kudos to Inzaghi and the boys and thank you :proud:

Honestly not to be funny about it but lukaku created, and yes, fucked up, more in 35 min than dzeko in 55. He should have started. Lukaku was on an amazing run of form end of season the Inzaghi benches.him for two finals in a row. Joke.
Could be argued that the bloke who got him back into form knows the best way to use him.

Don't have one.
Even if City has better players, those guys for sure didnt perform as well as they usually do... could have easily won the game, if our whole team wasnt programmed to be scared and defend.... but, hey, if some wanna be proud and are happy cause Inter had chances, so be it.
I'm not mad, but also cant be happy or proud cause City didnt trash us.
Yeah, but I don't think we were scared or defended too much. Speaking in hindsight, we definitely needed to be more attacking oriented, but it wasn't like we defended for our lives or were scared shitless. In fact, if anyone was scared in the first half, it was city.

If people need culprits for tonight to feel better it's definitely our attack, and that means all of them, none had a good game except for desire and running, that you could say was good enough.

Yes. I don't think that's entirely unreasonable, but I think based on what we saw tonight, which was nothing for dzeko from 55min, expecting lukaku to at least do a bit more if he'd started is not unfair?

First of all, We shouldn't renew Lukaku contract and we must get rid of Dzheko and it's better to sell Martinez at right price.
Second,It's pathetic some guys here blame Inzaghi! Wtf really?!!!

We were better side and the performance was so underrated. To be honest I could not imagine we would dominate the game!

I'm so disappointed because we had great opportunities to score but we didn't. I blame Lukaku, Martinez, and Dimarc for this lose most. If they were focused we could've win easily

I don't agree with Lautaro for now as disappointed as I am in him, but I do agree on dzeko and lukaku..whether you like lukaku or not I don't think, after EL and CL, this will be the environment for him to thrive.

Haha I was watching a BT stream so I had to close the stream as soon as it ended. There's only so much rubbish I can take from those English wankers. Probably give it a watch once I cool down.

Agree, the boys gave their all. Sucks it wasn't enough but you can't fault their effort tonight.
