I can't imagine modric being 50 mil. He's worth it but his age and somewhat lack of star power (compared to Ronaldo at least). Serie A has to be a perfect league for him to extend gis career at too...

I don't think Modric is desperate to leave Madrid, no player (well most players with very very rare exceptions) will be desperate to leave them especially the regular starters.

Also what you said is sort of true, players decide where they play but only when the price is met. See Coutinho and Dembele deals, both skipped training and so much drama but still buying club had to pay the asking price.

Only card Modric can play is, he achieved lot for the club so as a good will he should be let go for cheaper price.

Don`t think Modric is that type of player given his personality and we all know Real Madrid`s policy for above 30 players. He`ll be 33 this September but I would still take him for 3 years, no doubt he will dominate Serie A. Agree to make an exception for Luka and I see Perez letting go of Modrić for a reasonable amount [I mean less than 40m] for all the quality service he has provided to them. Kova will sure appreciate that we are making way for him to start.

Everyone would like to have Modric in their team sure, but seeing as he's about to turn 33yo in September, would command high wages and the transfer fee would surely be around 50mil - I would pass on this deal. For a bit lower fee we would be able to get Rafinha, who is a different player but would make much more sense in long term. And we need to think about long term (in midfield) especially with "oldies" Nainngolan and Vidal about to sign too.

But if for some reason the fee would be loan or in the region of say 20mil, then fuck yes.
