At least in my case, rather than defend him, it was about parting ways on good terms
He did the bare minimum in both years, for which I thank him, now it's time to move on.
I respect the person, I don't like him much as a coach: he's stubborn, hasn't learnt anything from his mistakes, Inter's game plan has been painful to watch for at least this whole season.
I hope he doesn't try to screw Suning too much on the two years of wages left. It's his legal right to hold on to the last penny, but if he could agree on a golden handshake tomorrow (which is when a meeting is scheduled, according to gazzetta), that would be best.
The funniest part of all this is, is that the only reason their hero Conte would even think about coming here is because of Spalletti's work in bringing us to the CL.
People forget that Spalletti found a team that didn't even make it to the Europa league and on a shoestring budget managed to give us CL football for two years in a row, with a weaker team with the added caveat of European football, injury crises and drama in the second season. That's the truth, deal with it.
