Indeed he was. The referee that gave Lazio that non-existant free kick that allowed Talamonti to score the equaliser. :wallbang: Also, that referee who was p!ss poor when we played against Roma in San Siro.

But oh well, our record with him this season isn't half-bad. We drew against Lazio (San Siro 1-1) but won against Roma (San Siro 2-0) & Palermo (Palermo 0-2). Not too shabby.

And the 21-men squad:

Portieri : 1 Francesco Toldo, 12 Alberto Fontana, 15 Fabian Carini;

Difensori : 2 Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, 4 Javier Zanetti, 11 Sinisa Mihajlovic, 13 Zé Maria , 16 Giuseppe Favalli, 23 Marco Materazzi, 40 Nicolas Giani, 77 Francesco Coco;

Centrocampisti : 5 Emre Belozoglu, 6 Cristiano Zanetti, 7 Andy van der Meyde, 14 Juan Sebastian Veron, 18 Cristian Kily González, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 21 Giorgos Karagounis, 25 Dejan Stankovic;

Attaccantii : 9 Julio Ricardo Cruz, 10 Adriano.

Once again, Davids is ignored. It has even gone so far that Karagounis is called up but not Davids.
On the pics he seems to work rather hard, so it´s weird alright. On the other hand, since he´ll definitely leave this summer, he´s probably not boiling with enthusiasm.

Only two strikers. That means we won´t have a striker on the bench to make the difference. Van der Meyde will have to act as a back-up striker on the bench.

And no Burdisso which makes me extremely nervous ahead of the Porto match.

This is why I argue we need 6 strikers in our squad. I can't believe Mancini hasn't even called up a young talent! Like Jimmy said though, VDM can act as a striker too and come off the bench. However, for me that's just not good enough! There is of course also the option of playing with only Adriano upfront even though I can't see that happening under Mancini.

Burdisso might be gone for this match and ready for Porto.

My lineup:

Carini

J. Zanetti - Cordoba - Mihajlovic - Favalli

Stankovic - Cambiasso - C. Zanetti - Kily

Adriano - Cruz

We don't need six strikers. This is extreme situation. I hope they are playing it safe in Oba's case that he'll be available in Porto-match. But I'm not worried at all of our strikers. I'm only worried about fact Burdisso isn't called up. And indeed, I hope he'll make it to tuesday. More than I hope Oba and Bobo combined.

This is mine:

---------Toldo
J.Z Cordoba Mihailovic Coco
-------C.Z-------Cambiasso
---Stankovic---Veron---Emre/VDM

---------------ADRIANO

Of course I'm sure that Mancio won't use a 4231. I confess that it isn't the best solution unless Mancio had trained the players with this formation this week and before.

Maybe Mancio would use this one:

-----------------Toldo
J.Z/Ze-M Cordoba Matrix Favali/J.Z
Stankovic ---Veron ---C.Z ---- VDM
--------------Cruz Adriano

But still there's some questions that are still un-answered for me:
1- We won't have Cordoba for the match against Porto and as Burdisso isn't there yet and also he is out of this match, then who Mancio wants to use against Porto?
If Mancio wants to use Burdisso then will he be ready for this match in only 3 days after lazio clash, after he also escaped from the Lecce match?
If Mancio wants to use a Matrix-Miha combination then Can Mihailovic play 2 consecutive matches in a row? Of course Mancio one said that he won't use them togethjer again, so who will be the player beside Miha or Matrix?

2- Favali is back only one day after his injury. Isn't Coco better than an already injured Favali? As we won't have Favali either for the Porto match, isn't it better that Mancio uses the player that he thinks will play in thge next CL match?

3- VDM had a good match against Lecce so isn't good to test him again? Maybe he book his place for the next Meazza match.

FORZA INTER

There´s no way Burdisso will play against Porto, no way. He hasn´t played for a while, he hasn´t trained etc. He wont play, wont be even at the bench i assume.

My lineup (4-3-3)->
Code:
---------------- Toldo

Zanetti - Cordoba - Mihajlovic - Favalli

---- Cristiano - Cambiasso - Emre

Van der Meyde - Adriano - Stankovic

So, we are going to Rome with just 2 strikers !!

Well then, V.Meyde will definitely be our third striker for this game.

I definitely want Emre to start this game. And as usual, I don't want to see 2 DM's, but ... ;)

Other than that, I am not eager to say anything abt this game-LAZIO:rolleyes:
Will save it, incase we win this one. :proud:

What is going on with Budisso? It says personal reasons, but no more words. Which means it's probably not a death in his family, which would've been mentioned. I hope it's not an abduction or something.

Look, just because Burdisso did not train lately doesn't mean he won't make it for tuesday. What if he had a slight injury, like Martins does? He could recuperate during the weekend easily. And on a more positive note, Coco has been called up so if the worst comes to the worst, he can play alongside Mihajlovic.

Anyway, we were once in a situation that we only had two strikers available for the derby when Mancini was the coach. Expect him to go with a 4-5-1 a la Eriksson.

And this is Lazio's squad. I am very happy that Peruzzi is not there, coz Pagliuca, Frey and Peruzzi had been doing very well against us after they left us. That's a bit of relief.

Portieri: Sereni, Casazza
Difensori: Couto, Lopez, Oddo, Seric, Siviglia, Talamonti, Zauri [/b]Centrocampisti: Cesar, Dabo, A.Filippini, E.Filippini, Giannichedda, Liverani, Manfredini
Attaccanti: Bazzani, Muzzi, Pandev, Rocchi

Lets hope that Pandev would play a good game, except for scoring and providing assists. It wouldn't be a bad idea to lure him back to Inter for next season, incase we have a plan to change our strikers' department (except for Adriano, Martins). :p

I really don't want to pay that much attention in the previews on this game, as I rarely think of us winning this game. This opponent is a curse for us. FORZA INTER !! :fero:

It's a vucking disgrace that Trefoloni is refereeing the match again. It shouldn't be possible to referee both matches in one season against same teams.

My only worry for this game is that we could be very distracted by the Porto game.

I really want to crush those Laziali bastards, they played the most awful game in history in Milan and stole a point, I want us to beat the crap out of them.

My line-up:

Toldo

J Zanetti Cordoba Mihajlovic Favalli

Veron Emre C Zanetti V D Meyde

Adriano Cruz

I'd love to see Mancini test out a 5 man midfield, and this is a good chance because rarely do we have all our big strikers (Adriano excluded) injured. (4-2-3-1)

Toldo

JZ Cordoba Sinisa Favalli

Cambiasso CZ

Veron Emre Stankovic

Adriano

Don't even tell that midfield wouldn't dominate. Ball possession would be like 80-20 (in terms of % that is) for us. I can't imagine not winning if Mancio fielded that team.

I guess Van der Meyde will be the 3rd striker with Adriano and Cruz starting upfront. Anywayz here's the lineup I'd like to see Mancini use.

------------------Adriano----------Cruz

-----Kily G.-------Emre------C.Zanetti---Veron

-----Favalli----Mihajlovic-----Cordoba---J. Zanetti

-------------------------Carini

Would it be wise to give Coco play time, wouldn't it? So that he can play in the Porto match.

But, we should definitely give our best. Though, with the game against Porto in mind, we should play with some semi-regulars. For example someone like Davids and Kily should play this match. Players with little playing-time but doesn´t make the team worse.

Yeah, I understand. Put in our quality benchwarmers and rest some key starters, which doesn't hurt the team as much as it would normally. But this is just looking at things on paper. Here's my line-up:

------------------Adriano----------Cruz

-----Van der Meyde-------Emre------Davids---Stankovic

-----Favalli----Mihajlovic-----Cordoba---Capitano

-------------------------Carini

BTW, I think it's essential that Adriano scores a goal and gets his confidence boosted. That PK may help, but who knows?

Are Martins and Vieri injured? I know Recoba is, but when did Martins and Veri get injured? I think this is the first time Adriano is playing alongside Cruz, and I just hope they can play well with each other.

This will be my line-up:

----------------------Carini---------------------
J. Zanetti---Cordoba---Mihajlovic-----Favalli
Veron------C. Zanetti---Cambiasso-----VDM
--------------Adriano------Cruz----------------

everyone is leaving Stankovic out. even frisko!

its his first return to the olimpico. i think he should def be there! this could be his game, dont underestimate the passion he will have here.

VDM starting for me is a no-no. if we need a striker to come on then he can be that guy. but if he will start ill put him as a 2nd striker behind adriano.

so for me, its either cruz or VDM with Adriano and Stan must play.
