Getting back to the main issue, who should start in defence against the Laziale? I want Mancio to go onto this game with and eye on Porto and that means take into accoun that Cordoba is suspended for that game. We have to find the way to replace Cordoba, I think that We should play with Burdisso but then I don't feel all taht confortable with Burdisso-Miha and relatively more confortable with Burdisso-Matrix but seen that Matrix is being a jackass of late when playing not keeping his temper cool makes me rethink. I say that in this game Cordoba shoul play as a left back and we opt for the center pairing that will take on Porto.

i know this isnt the best formation avail but id rather rest some of the players and not risk an injury agaisnt a lazio team wich isnt the strongest, wed game vs porto is more important that a match against a weak lazio team

Recoba is out at least a month (probably two), Christian Vieri did some supplementary resistance exercises (whatever that means) today and Obafemi Martins (backache) continued with his individual program.

Will our striker duo be Adriano - Cruz then?

I have no doubts regarding our central defenders (Materazzi or/and Mihajlovic), but i think they "might" be a bit too slow duo. Burdisso is out, Gamarra hasn´t played since ages. So, Materazzi - Mihajlovic it is. I see no other choices. Where´s Cannavaro when you need him? And please do not say anything Hamed!

Well it wouldn't be problem if we played Adriano-Cruz. Cruz played in Lecce match and he surely has better feeling now. But I'm quiite sure Martins is also available, atleast against Porto he'll start very sure. But seems that for both next matches we're going to go with these three strikers available.

What the hell is with the backache problems our players keep having? Hopefully Oba will be ready come tomorrow when Mancini picks his squad. We already know Veron and Stankovic will probably start due to their past relationship with Lazio (even though I think Seba should be rested for the Porto game) so that just leaves the two other midfield spots. I'm gonna agree with Hamed and this one with the CZ--Emre duo in the middle. No one on Lazio has even been able to stop the Little Turk.

I agree Veron is one guy that must be rested...

U can see that during the game his effort decreases as time goes by.I wouldnt mind resting more players.With the quality we have there is no excuse in using anyone and still demanding a great performance from them.
