Dont forget his unforgettable performance in WC.It’s a shitshow popularity contest anyway, but in some ways he was robbed and in some ways he’s too high
I think he had a better season than say, Bounou or Lewandowski, who placed above him, but I think Ruben Dias and Griezmann should be above him. Weird placement.
I feel bad because it gave a horrible impression of him as a footballer to the world. Yeah he’s not the most clinical, but the WC made him look like a total scrubDont forget his unforgettable performance in WC.

Definitely, but most don’t know that.he was injured and was playing with injections tbf
Honestly it works in our favour. If he had a breakthrough performance in the World Cup, I don't think we would have kept him. It ended up well for us and for Argentina since they won anyway.I feel bad because it gave a horrible impression of him as a footballer to the world. Pretty realistic, as long as we haven't sold everyone by then.If he scores another 14 goals until the end of the season (equalling last season's tally of 28), he'll reach 130 goals; that would put him at 8th in our all-time goalscorers table, 3 goals behind Nyers (our best non-Italian scorer).
If he stays on for next season, repeating 28 goals, he'd reach 158 and 5th place, 2 behind Mazzola.
Another one at 28, 186; 3rd place ahead of Boninsegna.
A third one at 28, 214; 2nd place with 5 ahead of Altobelli.
Conclusion: If Lautaro stays with us until he's 30, scoring at a similar rate to this and last season and without any significant injuries, he could very well become our 2nd best goalscorer ever. Realistic, or a pipe dream?
