If his shots went in people would have a very different opinion, yes that's how it works.

I didn't mean to sound snide, but to me this thread is a dead horse that's being beaten on and on for no reason. I fail to see what else is there to discuss about Lautaro or what new conclusions about him remain to be extrapolated.

He is consistently inconsistent and is now well into his prime, he will turn 26 next summer. He had an objectively terrible world cup and will only keep his market value due to association since his NT won it. He won't be worth more in a year because Inter won't win anything this time around. We should sell him but I doubt any serious offers will come because there are at least five strikers who got everyone's attention now ahead of him.

What is the more realistic outcome if we are being honest, that he will go for another 3 months without a goal or that this WC trophy will transform him mentally into a winner? Gun to your head if you had to make a bet?

Whoever is saying Alexis Mac Allister was bad in the final should go into the corner and think about what they said.

I saw this comment again, but who said he was bad in the final? That one I didn't see.

He still did A LOT MORE than Pipita did OR EVEN Aguero did for Argentina
giphy.gif

"Argentine player Sergio Agüero was given the FIFA U-20 Golden Shoe (top scorer, with six goals) and the FIFA U-20 Golden Ball (best player of the tournament)"

He has what it takes to become a WC striker, and the contrast between him and Álvarez actually makes me understand why is he valuable more, they are both developing, but Lautaro is further up in the development stage, and IMHO Lautaro is actually a way better striker than Vlahović.
opinions are only worth the arguments supporting them.

LMAO on most of your comments.

This fraud was so shit whole WC that is something that Maguire does.
He missed so many chances that the Seria C striker would score more goals.
If he was a good finisher he would score at least 6 goals minimum, he could score 3 goals just against Australia.
A 19-year-old kid outscored this brainfart troll by 4 goals, in his like 5th appearance for Argentina.

He is an attacker whose best trait is running, and nothing more.
Can't dribble, can't score, has bad build-up play, and has bad positioning.

His best chance for transfer is to go to Atletico Madrid, where he will be the 4th CB in the team but playing in attack and just
running at opposition players.

Seria A is the worst league of the European top 5 leagues, we saw random guys that could not play anywhere, like Quagliarella, Luca Toni, and Immobile while they are almost 40 years old, we see them scoring more than 30 goals, and says everything.

His best chance for transfer was Barcelona 2020, while lord Bartomeu was in charge and was buying idiots like Griezmann and Coutinho for 300mil

Also, we are broke as a club, and if we get a 40mil offer it will be a miracle. In his prime years, he can't score 20 goals in the bad league without penalties.
He is shit, he is a workhorse and that is it. No big club will buy him, stop living in a dream.

Hey, we rooted for him to be the "break out" guy in this past WC, but alas it didn't happen. Like Lukaku when I watched with those "misses " it's gallows humor time more than anything else. He's our guy for the present. So welcome back, Lautaro, and have a scintillating 2nd half in Serie A because Inter will need it!

Honestly? Neither. He has shown progress though out his time in Inter; with him things improved gradually and yes it is not a linear upward slope, it was a zig zag, but if you zoom out you definitely would see an upward trend.

opinions are only worth the arguments supporting them.
One easy way to see it is comparing xG per 90, obviously teammates' ability, team's tactic are also reflected on it, but it also indicates how good the striker's play and movements, so by all means his plays that help himself to get into scoring chances are pretty good in general.

Back to the point where everyone is after his ass for: his conversion rate and big chance misses; (First I am glad we didn't buy Zapata, no sure how we are going to live with this), which I never denied this problem, but it was also not that horrible like Zapata and Insigne last season just for comparison.
Even though, I would say this season so far he has been below bar like way below, but form and ability are not the same thing, as it has been proven in the past he can be more capable than he currently is.
Also like I said if he is a lot more clinical, let's say a conversion rate of 24%, his Goals per 90 can be reached close to 1 per 90s, which might be 30+ goals and he would be competing for Ballon d'Or.

Just for comparison:

Fans will be fans. And one of the favored activity of fans is overreacting from WC results.

For myself... I look at the shit play of Lautaro in the WC as an advantage for us, because we are broke and had he buried his chances some idiot club would be preparing to throw money at him next month. We are better with him I think than with this ownership group attempting to replace him. So I am hoping that perhaps he will be on a hot streak at the ideal time in the days ahead for us.

Reading on Twitter that he's going to hold a press conference on the 2nd Jan? If it's true, I've got a bad feeling that he's going to say he needs surgery on his ankle.

He's going to be part of the pre-match press conference with Inzaghi and so on. It's not Lautaro's press conf or anything.

Thank goodness, it's not a season ending injury announcement. If that were the case, chances of securing a Champions League spot would be even more difficult. Not that they are easy with him, by jove!

He fuckin embarrassed us.
Fuck off.

Inter as a club, its owners and our shit management have done more than enough to embarrass us.

Let's not pretend we are Le Grande Inter of the 1960s or Jose Mourinho's Triplette club.

We are a laughing stock without fans scapegoating, transferring all their frustrations and tipping shit on Lautaro.

Back in the real world, Lautaro is the highest valued player on the Argentina national team.

lol relax, am a big fan of his. And what do the circumstances around our club have with his WC display? He fluffed plenty of chances.

I'm actually one of the few here who isn't a negative nancy, hence I don't post as much.
