And that message meant what? Look at us?
Completely irrelevant.

If you can't see the meaning of the message with regard to the sport as a whole, then I don't know what to say. They make a great point about the state of modern football. Too bad the greedy fucks who run the sport don't care.

and the funny thing is the modern football fans buy them. Football is no longer a sport sadly and that has diminished my interests in football generally.

But what in the hell was that message doing in Inter - Napoli. If they want to be philosophers, do it on their site, write a press release etc. Is there, or do you personally know, any reason they're sending messages and points to the state of modern football as you put it?

Rising ticket prices, changing match times because of tv deals $$$$, treatment of fans like they're criminals, etc. As far as I know, they were supposed to display that banner earlier in the season but the Curva was banned, so they saved it for another "big" game. No one is going to read the CN site besides Inter fans, the best way to protest is in public.

Unfortunately, it also looks like the Curva will be sanctioned for the banner saying "Abete napoletano" and some other banners/chants against Napoli. Could mean closure for the last home match of the season.

1. CN banners do not always correlate with the game itself. It is their media to express their ideas.
2. They are not philosophers. They are bunch of passionate fans losing their tradition.
3. They don't have a website. CN is not an official group. In CN, there are many groups.
4. Their home is in the north wing of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
5. The best way to express their idea is from CN itself.

Any reason? As I stated it, football has lost the football identity itself.

it's not a web to promote CN and inviting new fans/members from the looks of it? It looks more like a media to unite all groups together.

it's for public communication from CN as a whole, as well as somewhere to display old coreo's, photo's and all of that type of thing... english version has been 'under construction' for about 10 years though XD

That could potentially be Zanetti's last match, what a tragedy that would be.

oh come on. rising ticket prices while you get a pay rise and don't see anyone complaining about it, changing match times because of tv deals $$$ then come here and vent about how our finances are shit, and the biggest hyperbole "treating fans like they're criminals". are you serious?

I'm very well aware what CN is, just like I didn't become an Inter fan overnight. You're numbered one two threes etc. are looking irrelevant to the point as well.

That huge banner is no idea, it just displays some "wtf was that for", and yes, philosophical "protest", against whoever reads it. How are they loosing their traditions? Traditions evolve, like everything else, but they haven't even lost anything whatsoever to begin with, in fact they've gained when they made their voice clear about that Guarin/Vucinic episode and had an impact. T
hey don't have a website? They should fucking make one if they can afford to make an irrelevant gigantic banner. Official or unofficial means nothing, and the same applies to one or a thousand groups.

It's Inter - Napoli, they should've shown support for these remaining games and instead they put in some shit about football is for people and without us you'd have nothing, like anyone questions that. Just useless drama, like an ex needy girlfriend on her period.

Yeah, that's really shitty. They have got a point about the hypocrisy though, if Abete takes offense to being called a Neapolitan. Not to mention they don't seem to care when other Italian regions get insulted.

Yeah, I'm dead serious. What do you mean getting a pay rise? Many regular people can no longer afford to go to matches because of high ticket prices. They're too busy paving the way for fucking corporate VIP rich people. Not to mention letting scalpers get a hold of countless tickets and sell them for 5x the price. And of course clubs need to make money, but not continually at the expense of people who go to support their club week in, week out. Some guys in suits sitting in a corporate box drinking champagne and quietly watching the match from a tv screen is nothing compared to the passion of those who cheer loudly and spend hours, days creating displays like you just saw. And eventually only one of those groups will be able to attend matches, the way things are going.

And yeah, treating fans as criminals. Which is what they do when they punish fans for this "territorial discrimination" BS. It's not real racism, it's a way to exercise control over fans. Not to mention in other countries where they've banned or severely regulated tifo displays, pyro, etc.

you don't know what you're talking about. you said you know what Curva Nord is but you still talk about official or unofficial.

Have you ever attended Inter game at Meazza? I believe you have. If you have, you should know that Those hardcore fans in CN are the one who keep on singing and standing and supporting Inter 90 minutes week in week out regardless the scoreline. Most of us are sitting at home, bitching about Mazzarri subs, Guarin shots, Kuzmanovic dumb moves, etc. Curva Nord has 90 minutes to support the team but only 5 minutes to express their idea. And I don't think it is irrelevant at all. It is a fact.

Traditions evolve? Yes, it is evolving towards modern football like Barca, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern, City, etc. Football has turned from sports into entertainment. It is no longer a competition of who has the better team but rather who has the more money. Some people buy them, some don't. Generally, more hardcore fans will not buy into this.

Barcelona doesn't allow the fans to make their own coreo, all those displays you see at big matches were made by the club, and they tell the fans what to do and when. I've been critical of that for a while. Do you really want see all clubs adopt that clean-cut, disconnected approach?

No, with all due respect from one Interista to another, I don't think the discussion would be worth the time. Over and out.

I agree with what Armes is getting at tbh.

This banner was just fuckin dumb. They spit this shit that football's passion comes from the supporters, but where are they ??? Half empty stadiums !!! When the team is up, they've filled the stands. But when the team is down, there are empty orange seats as far as the eye can see. The team needs the most support when they're down.

The orange stand is for neutral spectators. Curva Nord almost always filled up. The question is whether we have enough CN members to fill even the orange stand?

Don't Inter still have the highest average attendance in Serie A? There might be a small amount that stopped coming because of poor results, but there's been a drop in Serie A attendance as a whole, not just Inter. And I think ticket prices are the main culprit.
