Vision doesn't always mean great sublime passes (long or short). It can be simply controlling the tempo. That's vision, to know when to do a forward pass, when sideways pass, when backwards pass, where to run to be available for passes of your team mates or to cover the space, when to press etc. etc. And in that position, in the center of the midfield, in a defensive controlling role (regista), you definitely need vision to be able to do those things while to not get fucked over. It's definitely not an easy stuff as we should know here full well (given how important Brozovic grew to be at Inter).
What we've seen from Asllani is not much yet given the lack of minutes, but I would say he has the tools to get there. He has some great players to learn from.
