We must thank Handanovic and Mandzukic's clumsiness for this point.
The only positive note is that we managed to extend our undefeated streak. Other than that, we looked completely toothless for the whole game and we weren't even that great defensively; Cuadrado had a field day on our left flank and the “Croatian Benigni” had at least 3 clear-cut chances to score.

Not disappointed. Still think they're a better team on paper, but we're first. Man of the match was Chiellini who decided to bring his A-game tonight. I was very impressed with our whole backline who did a good job

No matter how hard people try to deny it, "I won't get my hope up", "I have been let down many times", etc... You know the ambition is back when they are complaining about 1 points at Juve Arena

Btw, shit game, Perisic in particular was horribly out of form.

It doesn't to me. He was turning to the right side as he slides. Why?

He slid with his RIGHT foot first following the trajectory of the ball towards goal, which was his right.

I have 0 issue with the no call which is the right call.

The hand ball penalty would have given on the other side of the pitch, so yeah, we've every right to ask for a PK there.

Perisic was all alone though. Not much of support from Santon or Valero. Candreva was worse. The missing pass between DDA and Candreva was incredible.

Because he is trying to get his foot into the path of the ball. If he doesn't turn then his feet would have slid into where Icardi's heels are as Icardi shoots.

 certain goal

go watch the highlights again

His hand is behind his back and is totally there to break the fall. Nothing malicious. It would've been a different scenario if Benatia wasn't falling, if the ball hit him in the hand while he was turning and if his arm wasn't next to his body. Football rules dictate that in situations like Benatia just was, penalty is never given.
It doesn't matter if it was malicious or not. The ball was going towards the goal and Benatia's hand stopped it. If the hand wasn't there, it could've been potentially a goal.

This match clearly shows what we need in mercato.... a player/s with CL/big matches football.

Clearly our guys can follow tactical instructions and take draws where needed but in order to win this matches you need class/quality/personality/experience in big matches .... smth none of our players has

Ball to hand vs hand to ball. I haven't seen the incident but it's not whether his hand is in the way of the goal or not....

That's not how the handball rule works.

I'm more pissed with what could be nerves effecting our play. Perisic, Candreva and D'Ambrosio were making controlling errors that 12 year olds should be better than at times.

He was attempting to block the ball. If you slide tackle, you tend to face the player. If you attempt to block, human instinct is to turn his back around. Like I said, had this been seen on VAR it will be a penalty.

I'm not saying we deserve to win because of that, but from my point of view, they should at least review through VAR.

True the ball was going towards the goal. But any argument containing "ball was going towards goal" isn't ruled as handball.

The careless passing that just gave the ball away was killing me. Every time it seemed to start the Juve break going forward. Seems to me the moment rattled a lot of the guys.

Handanovic was the real hero here. One of the best saves in his career was made but the ref blew the whistle seconds prior.

Skriniar and Miranda were solid. Our full backs had too much trouble but neither Candreva nor Perisic were providing any cover. And on top of that, our midfield was overrun. Too many sloppy mistakes going forward, especially to force a counter. Theoretically, we should have had at least 3 decent chances on the counter with a Candreva or Perisic cross/pass to Icardi with Brozovic being around but we barely had that once in the alleged PK incident (which would have been a PK + expulsion due to a 2nd yellow). Gagliardini's entrance helped but this game shows that Brozovic is made for 'small' games.

Can't complain about the result. Also, it's nice to not concede at that shit hole. Last time was in like 2005 with Julio Cruz's header. Last 0-0 there was back in 2001... Our record away at Juventus is not really good so I'd take this over most potential results.
