We can loan him to Livorno too.

Botta + Iturbe - Messi duo :serious:, most talented side in Serie A.

I just wrote about him a couple of minutes ago on the forwards rumors but since he now has a thread...

Did someone read anything about a possible negotiation between Porto and Inter for Iturbe?
Out of nowhere on todays newspapers they were talking about this and that his agent was already in Italy discussing the transfer.

I don´t see why Inter would want to buy him, maybe they see in him what we saw 3 years ago, but the time has passed and he keeps on failing to prove his potential. He only showed something in the 6 months when he was loaned to River because even on our B team he was bellow average.
He´s only 20 so he´s still very young and even though he apparently stopped commenting stupid stuff when he wasn´t picked for the games or saying he wanted to leave on twitter, the same goes for his father that every week was on the press saying nonsense, he still failed to prove his football. He´s that type of player with an amazing raw quality but that struggles to improve on tactical and team playing subjects.

We were insisting a lot with him during the pre season but since the official games started he wasn´t even called to be part of the squad (except for tadoys match).

So, if he failed to prove himself in the portuguese league I don´t see how he could prove himself on a big team in the italian league, one of the toughest tactically where he struggles a lot. A lower team in the spanish league would be good for him if he doesn´t stay here.

Great post, very informative. It's probably not known for those who do not regularly watch Porto or Boca Junior.

We probably just happened to come across his YouTube clip or saw his nickname on his wiki page and fell for it.

well, as far as I know, he is loved by Argentinians, but I'm baffled that he's so cheap, usually Porto gives big prices on everything

:palm:

If we're negotiating for him instead of say, Alex Sandro, from Porto for Schelotto and Pereira, then that's fucking disappointing.

He has talent, but zero footballing intelligence to accompany that, which makes him near-worthless in a highly tactical league like Serie A.

Nonetheless it's undeniable that he's made some fucking spectacular goals in Porto's preseason.

I'll take any porto player if it means we loose schelotto. Not to mention a somewhat talented young Argentine

So did Falcao, Higuian, Simone, Mario Yepes, Mascherano, Alexis Sanchez...... River were crap for 1-3 half seasons but they are back to being a good team.

My knock on this kid is he won't start and are we just getting him to get another Argie? He won't be free and even for Shuletto he doesn't make a difference because he won't play. He is too green.
