Not to demean any female footballers, who earn much less than their male counterparts. But most players in the Women's EURO had more grinta than Correa. This is unacceptable considering the wage he's getting on top of the price we paid for him. In any normal commercial enterprise, he'd have been fired already.

It was a mistake, if we look back.
But when he came here, even if the price seemed high, don`t forget everyone knew we cashed in Hakimi and Lukaku in a time when all clubs after covid where with the finances in toilet. It didn`t matter, who we wanted to buy, we would have been milked. It was late in mercato and we needed a striker.

At that day, I approved the move. I considered it a calculated risk. Correa was never so bad. He played under Limone, so it was suppose he will integrate more smoothly than other striker. Also he had the qualities we missed in that period. We wanted badly players with pace who can dribble. This was one of the ingredients we lack under Conte.
