Either Arnautovic or Correa couldn't be even registered to Serie A if both stay.

We could actually do it in Serie A. It's the UCL registration that coudn't.

Nevertheless, it is evident which one Inter must let go, with Correa costing Inter about twice as much as Arna.

Nobody can force for a player with one year contract left to leave.

Termination would be very bad option IMO. Even extending him and sending him on loan could be better. Then we could also divide his salary from this season so that this and the next covers that money.

Extending would lower his book value for this season vs termination would trigger the full minusvalenza for the whole book value for this season. Salary could be negotiated with the loaning club that they cover at least half (Marseille btw covered full salary last season).

I rather keep him than terminate his contract. With our budget and our wide range of options upfront we better get a hold of what we already have before making more losses.

Termination can also divide his salary tbf
You are right. Usually club and agent can agree only part of the salary is paid.

Optimal would be we get some club to pay big enough fee so that we can golden handshake Correa and simply minimize all the damage.

Something like 2m gross salary paid to Correa as golden handshake, then 3-4m minusvalenza, meaning someone would pay 4-5m fee.

According to Calciomercato.com, Lazio want Correa because Sassuolo are asking for more than expected for Laurienté.

Lotito wants a discount on the 7-8M price OR on the 3.5M wage of Correa. I hope Ausilio and Marotta tell him to pay his book value or fuck off, just because he's Lotito. Especially that his club benefitted from that overpriced transfer!

No. Serie A registration rules only excluded under the age of 22. Correa is 30, Arnautovic is 35, of course both must be re-register into Serie A list.

Glad you mentioned this, for serie A we could but not of the UCL, it is because Bastoni are counted as homegrown status trained at club by serie A rules.
But obviously it doesn't mean we should register Correa, it could still open for other players.

CT = Club Trained. Trained at club for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21(UCL). (22 for serie A).
AT = Association Trained. Trained by their club or by another club in the same national association for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21.

So it registration squad may look like this

Last season, we benefited by Asllani being listed as U-22, which allowed us to register 25 players for serie A but not now. Obviously, we could register a club-trained player such as Carboni to fill the open slot as it suppose to, although, with the recent rumours, it's unlikely now.

Of course, it does not have to be Correa, it could also be reserved for Buchanan when he returns for the next registration, or in the unfortunate event that we are still unable to offload Correa or others such as Satriano, Salcedo, or Agoume.

So the possibility of a new striker means he (or someone else to be sacrificed) is either ready to not be registered for UCL, like Correa was, or he will wait till Arna and Correa leave the club.

Carboni btw is not eligible for club-trainded status in CL. He hasnt been registered for Inter for 3 years, only two (21/22 and 22/23).

Though he's eligible for B list.
