I don’t know how I feel about Correa, would have preferred Belotti at 15-20m tbh but if it’s Inzaghi’s request it’s only fair if they at least granted him that after being blindsided by Lukaku as long as it doesn’t kill us

Yeah, now Inzaghi has somewhat less excuses IMO. I mean of course, losing Lukaku means Scudetto is too harsh demand but getting Correa for his request for a relatively high price means we should now at least give Juve a run for their money.

Let’s make it an option instead of obligation and we’re golden

That sounds a bit better, although we probably end up paying the option. Option becomes obligation with probably some relatively easy conditions.

But still better that we can postpone that and it's paid in 3 installments so good terms for us.

If paid in 3 installments, does that mean we still have some budget left til mercato end or mercato chiuso? Would be nice to add a low cost Brozo and Skriniar back up.

No one knows what that mercato budget means for us. Is it for specifically this summer, how much we can spend this summer. Or is it how costly players we can sign now. Because Correa costs us 5m€ this summer (loan). Then later he will cost more as we start (most probably) paying Lazio those installments.

I mean we haven’t properly replaced Hakimi. To me as long as we don’t leave securing CL qualification to the last 2 matches of the season and if we qualify to R16, I’d consider this season a success under Inzaghi. Big expectation difference in terms of expectation when a coach gets paid 3m and a 30m marquee signing vs a coach who gets a 12m salary and a 75m marquee signing.

Loan + obligation from Lazio, with Lotito who currently fucking hates us?

Hats off man. That probably leaves us the budget to grab Belotti.

I'm ok with Correa signing but the rumored price is a bit too much IMO. He joined Lazio from Sevilla for 15m, if I'm not wrong and he hasn't done enough to justify doubling that price.

I was aslo u an down, which will be a better fit between Belotti and Correa for Dzeko& Lautaro. At first glance I would say Belotti. But Correa bring qualities that none of our strikers have. It's essential to have players with different characteristics. That was our poblem under Conte.
It was said that Conte didin't have a plan B and it was correct. But to have a plan B you need players with different styles. Otherwise the plan B could be worse that the plan A.

My only concern with Correa is that he is also addicted to injuries. Just like Sanchez. Sensi is overdosed all the time.

DiMarzio - The Nerazzurri see the goal for Joaquin Correa close. The closing of the deal is near on the basis of 30 million euros plus one bonus on loan with obligation to redeem. The parties are working to settle the details: payment methods, when to trigger the obligation (first second round point from February 2022) and bonus conditions (Champions qualification for Inter). Inzaghi pushes for his protégé, Lotito's green light is missing.
