He seems to not accept bench and I can understand his mentality. Suning could be a lucrative destination for him before returning to Brazil.

Miranda: Two more years

Inter defender Miranda plans to return to Brazil ‘in two years’ but suggests there could be movement as early as next week.

Miranda is going into the new season as Inter’s fourth-choice centre-back following the arrival of his former Atletico Madrid teammate Diego Godin.

Speaking to Brazilian outlet Gazeta do Povo, the 34-year-old revealed his desire to end his career with first club Coritiba.

“I’m a Coritiba fan, I hope they can return to the top tier as soon as possible,” he admitted.

“Seeing them in the Brazilian Serie A is all I want. I have a lot of love for this team.

“I won’t deny that I’d like to come back for a season. My idea is to return to Brazil in a couple of years.

“I left when I was very young. I only played for Coritiba for a year and I’d like another year with them.

“They let me grow as a player. For the respect and gratitude I have for them, I’d like to help them get back among the top sides.

“Talks about my future are ongoing, let’s see what happens. It depends on many things. Let’s see what happens next week.”

He was 1st choice backup last season. That remains this season too, but moving to the 3-man defence will give him a lot more games.

But it is fine if he chooses to move on. That attitude is commendable. Also him leaving leaves a tiny bit of chance that Conte may not lineup a 3-man defence in some games.

Wish he stays but that's highly unlikely. He's still top class.

I wish we could make some actual money out of his sale. I accept every outcome as long as someone pays something for him if he decides to go.

Hopefully this means Bastoni will get his chance and more playing time. I think it's crucial for a 3-man defence that one of them is left-footed for the build up play etc. Right now he isn't good enough to beat Skriniar, Godin or de Vrij but he got the potential to be.

Cahill-David Luiz-Azpilicueta worked fine under Conte and I believe all three are right-footed. He can make it work.

Offcourse it can work, most CB's are right footed but I think for a smooth build up it's ''ideal'' to have at least one left footed centerback.

Isn't D'ambrossio the first choice as CB coming out from the bench? Miranda will get less time than last year.

Conte "forgot" to mention Miranda among our options in defence. Again. It seems like Miranda has no future at Inter.

Has he returned to join the pre-season?

I don't think so. He and Lautaro both played in the final so they're still on vacation.

No, D'Ambrosio is starting CB. De Vrij will probably be the first choice CB from the bench.

There will be a major market meeting between Inter and Monaco next week. On this occasion, various topics will be discussed including the future of Joao Miranda. The Brazilian is close to join the Ligue 1 side and a two-year deal is already in place waiting for his signature.

Where do you get that from? De Vrij is no bench material, he is our best ball playing CB

I hope you mean Joao Mario.. I thought Miranda wanted to go back to Brazil?
