Sounds like he wants to stick around 1 more year and see if he can snag a scudetto. I hope it happens, the players like Handa, D’Ambrosio, Ranocchia, and Miranda deserve it for their service.

That would be good if he wants to stay but he is the one who started saying he wants to leave from last year.

I never actually remember him saying it tho. I only remember the media saying that he wants to leave.

If Miranda wants to stay, he should stay. You can’t ask for a better backup.

I want him gone for the sole reason that I still have some hope that we will play with a back 4 and not back 5. But if we do play the back 5, then Miranda is going to be needed.

If he wants to stay, he'd be the perfect back up in a 3 men defence.

Furthermore its one of the best defences in the world.

Despite liking DeVrij and him having a very good season I think for a back 3 Miranda-Godin-Skriniar should be our go too.

Usually when reports come out that a player wants to leave there usually is some truth to it, he also made some comments about it. it wasn't direct that he wants to leave right now, but he was talking about wanting to stay in Europe another year, also he lost his place as a starter At Inter and also with Brazil, he prob wants to stay now because of the money, the chance to win something and a lack of good offers from Europe.

Both DeVrij and Miranda have been mistake prone lately, difference being that DeVrij actually has offensive capabilities. At the same time, the only reason why I consider Miranda being mistake prone in the past season was because he didn't get regular minutes.
My guess is that Miranda thinks he has a shot at impressing Conte and getting that starter position. Something changed for him, he wanted to leave and to play starting squad football, now he wants to stay. I don't think he is naive enough to expect scudetto right away. For what it's worth, he is an excellent defender and even at a 4th CB position he is more than worth it, if only we can keep him happy while at it. Plus he can be crucial as a sub on odd moments where there is actually a need for defending the lead (unlike every time Spalletti did it) where one more CB can make a difference in swarming our side of the field.

Conte just "forgot" to mention his name. He did mention Bastoni though.

He will most certainly get his share of appearances. De vrij tends to pick up knocks and skriniar and Godin can use rest every once and a while. Rano cannot be first back-up.

Pedulla said last night both Monaco and Marseille are interested in Miranda.

Apart from still being very good, he is one of the persons in our squad who seem to have some real character. Serious professional with integrity and qualities of a quiet leader. I really like to have him around. And probably past this season too.

Is it reported somewhere that Inter wants to sell him? It would be strange if the 3-man defence is going to be our primary choice. If he is gone, that means Ambrosio and Ranocchia would get to play a lot, and that isn't very encouraging.

On the other hand, him leaving shows there is a chance that we may not play 3-man defence, and I am all for that.

The fact that he was....forgotten by Conte who did not omit to name Bastoni should make us think that it's a sign. He even mentioned D'Ambrosio so it's a 3 man defence alright. Maybe not from starters, but we're switching at some point.

We are 100% going to play 3-man defence. He only typically uses 5 different players, plus some youth, for those 3 spots.

Skriniar, De Vrij, Godin, Ranocchia, Dambrosio + youth
