Of all our players Perisic is the one I’d sell. All he’s lacking is consistency if he had that he’d probably be a top 10 winger. Thats the problem though, he is too inconsistent and he’s 29 years old. I think this is our last chance to get a lot of money for him. I really hope we can get Martial in return. That would be game changing for our club.

You're getting emotional. No one here is saying we want him to leave. I'm happy if he stays, I always thought he was a top winger and I always rave about him to my friends. What i'm saying is that he is not indispensable if the right price comes.

Also I remember someone mentioned that we might go for Payet. If we sell perisic for 60 and buy Payet for around 20-25 I'm all for it. Then we can spend the rest on Vrsajlko and Malcom and when January comes we won't be desperate for a playmaker. My obvious replacement still remains Martial.

"We can sell Perisic and then we buy this one and other one and etc".

Its nice to play with Mercato, but lets face reality - if we sell Perisic for 60M+, no one would sell us Payet or any player for 20-25M. If AM wants 25M for Versljko now, after we sell Ivan, it will be 30-35M. This is the mercato.

Perisic is top class player and one of the best in his position. Last season, we would never reach to top 4 without Perisic. Our attacking game was poor and he still managed to score 11 goals and 9 assists. With Nainggolan, Martinez, Politano, Dembele and Brozo, he can reach double figures with no problem.

and most important, we always cried why Inter must sell important players, like we did many times since 2010. Now, when we can keep our big players, you want to sell one? why, so we can gamble about a youngster? no thanks, im happy to have Perisic and i won't sell it for any price. He's top class player and Serie A proven. Lucky for us, Spall thinks the same.

I think people should separate World Cup from club football. Those are different things. Perisic is good, but if a stupid offer close to 100 mill came, and we could get a younger winger with similar stats whose more well rounded, we should consider it.

I understand the frustration with Perisic's inconsistency, but his guaranteed double figure goals and assists are a scarce thing in this team and we badly need them. It's not like he's Candreva where contributes nothing next to his uselessness. He's also a big games performer. The closest such complete player to him is Ronaldo and we can't get him. Replacing Perisic will be a tough job and we have other serious problems to worry about now.

After 1 good match the Perisic homers come out. Perisic was trash for 80% of last season. He was one of the reasons our attack was poor. I'm not sure how people find it so easy to forget all the times he stood around in thd attack, didn't run after a pass he could've easily gotten on the end of, passed inexplicably straight to a defender, or refusal to pass to Icardi at times. He was Balotelli-esqe last season, but we can just chalk all this up to him being inconsistent. It's not like he's gonna be 30 this season and one of our highest earners.

Pretty sure everybody here realizes that Perisic seemed to disappear quite a lot during the season, but the ridiculous thing is that he still managed that many goals & assists while "disappearing".

If someone comes with a crazy figure (say 70-80m), sure I'll take that and reinvest it. But hell no to selling him right now for like 50m. These days that kind of money only seems to get you a hot prospect attacker, not a player who's a mortal lock to improve our starting lineup.

Well that's complete bullshit that he was trash 80% of last season.

Perisic does a lot of work not immediately seen in goals/assists sheet. Now that we are going to have a better midfield and hopefully not completely useless right wing, I'm pretty certain Perisic will be also better.

Agreed with that assessment. When the midfield were dead static during our winter struggle, he was nowhere to be found since no space opened up for him to exploit. He might be a one-dimensional player and unable to unlock defences by himself, but if he's given space on the left wing and inside the box to run into, he always performs well. We already saw that when Rafinha came around and brought that to the team, Perisic suddenly seemed like himself again.

Think about it. If Perisic was playing for another team then most of us would kill to have this WC finalist in our team. We're overly frustrated (and rightfully) with him because we're overly dependent on him to score goals. He's the only player who scores besides Icardi, Brozovic and a fucking defender.

Once we have more players to score then the pressure will ease off him.

Perisic - Brozovic bromance > JJ-Kovacic

take it back

- - - Updated - - -

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you play ONE player in the same position for almost fifty consecutive games, there will be periods in which their form rises and falls.

lets remember this argument for icardi as well

Oh here we go again....English media reporting Perisic is edging closer to United move. Wouldn’t read too much into this

Sounds like Lavezzi/Di Maria rumors to Inter, i.e. circulating rumors from previous year(s).

As frustrating as Perisic was to watch last season, I wouldn't sell him unless we did receive a stupidly big offer from United. RB is the priority position to be addressed and considering we live in an age where full backs are selling for 50 million, we don't have the resources to sell Perisic on the cheap and then panic buy a replacement who we spend the next year complaining about who doesnt have the goal scoring ability Perisic has.

Mourinho on Perisic: “I don’t know why he didn’t come to Manchester when I wanted him.”

Because Inter didn't want to sell him on discount?
