I really worry Rube will win this league again... they have scudetto mentality.

Of course there's trauma considering we always humiliate ourselves against juve.

They always beat us with absolute ease, like the result is never even in doubt. Their victories against us look like low-intensity training sessions. At least Milan put up a good fight today, not to mention, the last time they played juve, they came from 2-0 down to win the game 4-2. When is the last time we displayed any such guts against juve? Seriously, give me some evidence.

As Kramerica says, we have an absolute pathetic response to big games and big opponents, and juve is the biggest, baddest opponent of them all to us.

Oh, I wouldn't be shocked if we lost against them at all. They've destroyed us and displayed their class every single time we've played them in recent years. It could easily happen again.

But they've also had real coaches in these past seasons. Even if we choke and let them get a foot in the title race, I'm not necessarily afraid that they'll take off and distance themselves from the pack. Juve will lose games. I don't even think a win against Napoli is such a given (although likely as things stand).

Yes, at some point we have to nut up and beat those bastards. We have to for our own confidence and mentality more than anything else. But this "Juve machine" mentality of those past few years is something I don't really believe in for this season.

Conte will piss his pants. Dambrosio RWB, Darmian LWB(logical). Then 5 defensive mids. Lukaku as defending striker.

Yep, go full defensive not to get too exposed; get exposed like a mothefucker and concede 3 goals.

Remeber our game against Napoli? That's Cunte's plan against his Rube.. We have zero chance with that plan.

You guys are out of your minds acting like we never pushed Juventus to their limits in the last 6 years. We were far worse against them in the early 2010s than the actual Banter era. And our two displays last season were the worst I remember against the fuckers. There's always controversy, there's always a reason to think that the ref cunt was bribed or threatened. Even with Campagnaro, Alvarez, Juan Jesus and Obi playing.

But not last year. Just because we shat our pants with our "winner" Conte at the helm doesn't mean you get to rewrite history.

Yeah unfortunately this is true.

And we've managed to win Juve, during the banter era. Spalletti managed to actually make it a fight.

Conte needs to step up big time next week's weekend.

That's two quality opponents that Theo has come up against (Chiesa and Hakimi), and twice he's objectively lost the duel completely. Still probably the best LB in the league, but interesting to see.

he is OK but his defence is not good and without Rebic up front, he looks lost

I don't disagree...but our displays last season came with the same person in the dugout as we're going to have this time around as well. The manager who has overseen this club go 0-0-6 against Juve, Barcelona, and Real Madrid in his time here, scoring a combined total of five goals across those six games. So even if "nutting up" hasn't been a problem in general over the years against top teams, it has been a problem under Conte. And, on that, I stand by everything I've said. Conte is too willing to talk about "well, you know, it's Real Madrid we were playing" when Real Madrid was simultaneously losing both games against Shakhtar and losing home games domestically to Cadiz and Alaves. If you treat those clubs like they're too big for you, what do you expect to happen? I don't want to hear about it anymore. I don't want to hear any Inter manager talking that way about those clubs. Are they bigger? Yeah. So what? None of that matters on the field during the game.

If there has been one thing more than anything else where Conte has underwhelmed me, it's been in that department. You'd think his background would mean he'd know a thing or two about being a top dog and taking on all comers. These days, I would call such a reputation complete bullshit. He's shown himself to err much more towards cowardice than towards courage.

That's a completely different point than what was being thrown at here, that we've been perennial wusses against Juventus or anything. We've turned the game around playing with 10 men from very early on, we had games stolen from us, we've seen offside goals against us, we've seen them cancel legitimate goals from us, we've seen us make 3-0 comebacks... It's not a perennial issue, it's exactly what you describe in the rest of your post. A Conte issue!

Exactly. There were a lot of games where we performed well and even deserved to beat Juve during their dominant era. However, in the two games we played Juventus under Conte, with a relatively better team, we lost and deservingly so. We shat our pants in both games.

Let’s how his reaction next weekend, I for one, wont expect much from a coach who is totally okay losing to Real Madrid because they are.... Real Madrid.

de Ligt is going to miss the derby since he tested positive for COVID. Terrible news for us. A handball penalty was our only chance of scoring.

Loool nah actually that’s the best news tbh. He’s been single handedly carrying their defense this season. We have to go for the kill next week

Well, we need a strong performance on Sunday at the Olimpico first. We already overlooked Sampdoria enough for it to cost us there, so if we were gonna look ahead, then we better make it count.

I know we've all talked enough about the upcoming Juve game but, honestly, I don't want to discuss it anymore until we see how the Roma game unfolds first. Win that game, and we're back on track and head into that game in decent shape. If not...I don't even want to think about the alternative right now.

If my calculations are correct.. since joining Atalanta, Muriel has 28 goals in Serie A, averaging a goal every 60 minutes over the last 1.5 years.
