Morata is a great example.

He's different because he's from the Real youth team. Juventus arent going to go and sign a whole bunch of players, then immediately sell them again with clauses (well, they might do, but it'd be a precedent).

Buy-back clauses are generally used for one's on youth players, Morata's been at Real now for 5 or 6 years.

If Juve behaviour like Barca and Real on the buy-back clauses, then expect people like Giovinco, Mannone, Leali perhaps to be affected. But it wont affect Berardi, Zaza, Immobile, for as far as I'm aware, Real nor Barca have ever signed someone just to sell him again immediately with a buy-back clause?

And even if they have, it's certainly not *prolific*.

I said I agreed with you in an earlier post.........yes the players they have right now they'll have to either give up or sign. Which is good news for anybody trying to poach a player like Berardi.

But in the future, they'll employ the same system Real & Barca are doing in Spain. Which is sign a kid, keep him for a few years in the academy and sell him to a lower club when he's ready, with a buyback clause incase he develops into a star.

Yeah, but that rarely works, right.

We do it already, so do Juve. Who do you think all these U-14 to U-18s we sign are? The only difference will be how they exit the club - in buyback rather than loan with co-ownership.

The point is that right now, in Serie A, most of the stars come through at Serie B clubs. Precisely *because* they were rejected by Juventus, or Inter (Insigne, Verratti, De Sciglio even, a few others) as youth kids. We already try to the prediction game, co-ownerships wont change that too much.

Well we also don't know how much more attention is given to a player with a buyback clause compared to a co ownership player, where there isn't a cap on the profit you can make, theoritically.

Might be that now those players are actually given more of a chance. Since they'll be the primary source of revenue. I'm just saying that if juve want to monopolize the youth talent, they still can under this new system

Sure, but I think it'll be a bit less effective than it is right now, tbh. Right now you can easily splash 1-1.5m on a whole bunch of players and see what sticks. Wont have that option in future..

What they might do, which would be new, is to start getting first options on players everywhere, but that doesnt really help that much at the end of the day

I still think in the end it's going to hurt the smaller clubs more than the bigger. But only time will tell.

There are 283 co-owned players in serie A.
They either have to extend for 1 more year or contract resolved by June 20th 19:00.
Blind auction will start on June 20 20:30.

lol this is gonna be a chaos.

Well that's how it goes normally, you either extend for another year or resolve the issue before June 20th.
On June 20th blind auctions are made for players that are in their second year of co-ownership and clubs could not resolve the issue up to that moment.

co-ownership has been usually 1 year deal, and 2 year in very rare cases, with option to extend by 1 more year. (unless rule changed since 2009. haven't been followiong serie A much since then.)

Reja was fired and Pioli took over at Lazio.

Also the Garrone family sold Samp to this guy.

Hopefully he won't make Samp another Napoli.

Last thing we need is more competition.

I disagree. More the competition, better for the league, the more will club work for our club to be bigger with better players.

They are just causing the chaos once again so that they can win the World Cup, just like 2006.
