Samp are missing to Starting players to there team ,Del Vechico and Zomarono or something cant rember which are regular starters for the team , No Cuhu and Figo should get a rest for the roma game and i think ibra should come on 2nd half and let Crespo - Adriano play together!!

Sorry Marcy, but I don't think that Crespo - Adriano would work. If they play together, one of them should be SS. And because Crepo is tipical box striker, Adriano must play as SS. And when he fails to deliver good balls and fails to score, you will all say he was crap. And the fact is that SS is not his position.
It's eighter one of tham and Ibra. Most likely Crespo will be the starter, and Adri will come as a sub.

i think both maicon and grosso will play, cuz mancini said so.
then it'll be:
Toldo; Grosso, Cordoba, Materazzi, Maicon; Stankovic, Dacourt, Vieira, Zanetti; Ibrahimovic, Crespo
or other alternatives by exchanging position of Grosso, Maicon, Zanetti, and Stankovic

I expect mixed feelings by the fans in our first home game of the season, Facchetti will certainly be remembered but the fans will have their minds filled with the images they saw in Lisbon, let's hope everybody can concentrate in this game.

Sampdoria will not be easy but I expect Inter to come on strong and try to erase the image they left in Lisbon. The most important thing now is bring Il Capitano back to the first team and find a model that allows us to use our superior quality at full.

I read some of you talking of Gonzalez, and why not Solari? Gonzalez seems to play reasonably in the right wing, maybe put Figo later in the game an use him at full power when Sampdoria is getting tired and maybe try Crespo-Adriano in the attack (We tried everything else) something like this:

------------------Toldo---------------
J. Zanetti---Cordoba--Samuel---Grosso
Gonzalez---Vieira/Stankovic--Dacourt/Stankovic---Solari
------------Crespo--Adriano-----------

I see no piont in having 2 cd's on the bench. Why isn't maxwell on the bench instead of andreoli?? And please no maicon at rb and jz at lb. Grosso or maxwell should start. The rest of the time is fine. even if I might be tempted to play stan-viera and solari as the lm.

It is so bloody annoying to see il capitano being used in every god damn position but his normal one. How annoying!! I rather see him on the bench than seeing him playing on the left back where he cant really attack the opponent. Why insisting on playing Maicon? Sure, he isn’t bad, but that’s about it.

Gazzetta is most of the times spot on with their line-up predictions which makes me even more upset this time seeing that we are probably playing Gonzalez from start and hence Solari will again be warming the bench! :grumpy:

I agree with Stefan. Maxwell or Grosso should start as LB and our captain as RB. I see no point of putting Zanetti as lB, when we are filled in that position. And I think that Vieira and Deki in the middle, Solari and Mariano as wingers. About the attack, I'm not sure. Like this:

-----------------Toldo--------------------
JZ-------Samuel-----Cordoba--Grosso/Maxwell
Mariano-----Vieira-------Deki----------Solari
----------Ibra------------------------------
--------------------Crespo/Adriano----------

LOL @ gobbi winning without cheating!
Bu come on man, you got to admit that it is frustrating seeing our quality players playing so out of position! It is such a waste seeing Zanetti playing in different positions that his normal so often. Hence, I’ll be hoping that Maicon will have a horrendous evening so that it almost cost us all 3. ;)

I believe this is the right line-up, even though I would've liked to see Solari. However, I think Gonzalez gave a positive performance, in the extent possible, against Sporting.

Grosso shouldn't play. Like Mancini said, he's not fit. Good to se Matrix back and I'm happy with Crespo-Ibra.

Gonzalez was talked about because he is likely to start. While Solari is also talked about a lot if you ask me.

I believe they should give him a nice blue seat in the Giuseppe Meazza which has "Reserved for S. Solari" written on.

I don't want Maicon to play, Grosso on left and JZ on the right. Grosso isn't a god at defending, but he is certainly much better than Maicon and unlike Maicon he in case he can't get the ball pushes opponent into the corner until someone comes to help him and that way he usually wins the ball back, while Maicon is playing a ballerina.

I pressurise Mancio to use -

Toldo
JZ - Samuel - Materazzi - Grosso
Dacourt
Stankovic -Vieira - Solari
Ibrahimovic - Adriano

This is funny. How and when will he be ready to play if he NEVER plays?
It's not like he is our main player, he is just a team player with 10 others who are experianced enough
I bet my ASS that if mariano plays from first minute he will play very good.
I don't expect anything special, just freshness and movements..something we need and miss now

And if we are going to slip out just cause of one damn player then something is really wrong with our team

here is team for tomorrow:

MANCINI'S SQUAD FOR INTER V SAMPDORIA
Friday, 15 September 2006 19:28:02
APPIANO GENTILE - Roberto Mancini has named the following 20-player squad for Saturday evening's Serie A Week 2 match against Sampdoria (Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, kick-off at 20:30:

Goalkeepers: 1 Francesco Toldo, 12 Julio Cesar Soares

Defenders: 2 Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, 4 Javier Zanetti, 6 Maxwell, 11 Fabio Grosso, 13 Maicon, 23 Marco Materazzi, 25 Walter Samuel, 77 Marco Andreolli

Midfielders: 5 Dejan Stankovic, 7 Luis Figo, 14 Patrick Vieira, 15 Olivier Dacourt, 21 Santiago Solari, 50 Ibrahim Maaroufi, 91 Mariano Gonzalez

Strikers: 8 Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 10 Adriano, 18 Hernan Crespo

Hey Buddy:
It seems that you have misundrestood me!
Do you remember Burdisso's first match at Inter? Do you remember what happened to him? Most of us were calling him rubish and the worst signing and etc.......
But when Mancio started to give him some few playing times, game by game he gained the well needed confidence and up to his long trip to Arg. he was so good even after his arrival in the next (last) season.
Now I say use the better Figo or Solari and then give him some 20 to 30 minutes time during the matches.
Sorry if I can't say what I mean and please forgive me.

I strongly suggest that if Figo is going to be rested tonight, then please SOLARI. He has played in that roll before and he had some acceptable performances. But who hears? Mancio? Never. I have no doubt that Figo will start tonight's match.
I'm going to see this match 2 hours delayed but as always I don't have the bulls to wait and I'll check it from Inter.it.
