Why? to play with only 10 men?

I know that the team played like crap yesterday, but Adriano is the last thing we need these days.

He let us down, that's a fact.

On the other hand, look at Crespo. He probably had only two chances in the whole game, but that didn't stop him from scoring two goals.

This is the difference between Adriano and Crespo.

Adriano is not to blame for our defeat yesterday, if anything he played much better than the last time we've seen him.

Like I've said already, Mancio should go for the 4-3-3 with Recoba-Crespo-Adriano because we have nothing to lose and because that's the only way I see us scoring 4 goals.

If you play us with 4-3-3 you have no chances to win the cup.
1)We will rule the midfield and we will do anything we want on the field.Because we will have 5 midfielders and you only 3!It will be like milan-Man Utd.Milan had 5 midfielders and Man Utd only 3.Milan rulled the midfield and they won easyly.
2)Roma's counter's attack are so hot like hell, and if you try the 4-3-3 you will really have big problem!
My prediction is that Roma will win again, easy or not.

ROma? Grazie roma 4 finals 4 coups... Uefa, supercup, 2 italian cups...next time you open your napoletano mouth think a bit

I am still shocked from what I saw yesterday...
C'mon man, what on earth were our defenders doing while Roma scored 6?
Although we won the Scudetto this season, Inter must fix up their mentality.

Sure, if Roma can beat us 6-2 at home, we can do it too, right?
Of course, because Inter is one of the best teams in the world.
Inter, however, must be ready to play in every single game, and do their best to show that we are the true winning team with the right attitude.

For example, the Supercoppa against Roma. Did we have to concede 3 goals first before we woke up and got to work?

It will be so much harder for Inter to win anythihng with such habits. How many big matches did Inter win this year?

Milan 2 (Serie A Round 9, Serie A Round 28)
Roma 2 (Supercoppa Italia, Serie A Round 3)

Against Bayern, we lost at home and barely drew on the road.
Against Valencia? We drew twice and got kicked out of UCL in the round of 16 because of those stupid away goals.
What happened in last year's UCL quarter-final matches against Villarreal?

Seriously, are Inter having these disastrous matches because Inter are not good enough? We do have one of the best squads in the world, and why do we fail to win those big matches?

I'm not trying to prove that Inter are doing bad. I'm just saying that in order for Inter to be a true champion, they MUST play every game with passion and effort. It doesn't mean that Coppa Italia will automatically be Inter's since Inter completely dominated in Serie A this season.

I desperately hope to see true winning mentality from Inter next season who play hard every single game, and win against those big clubs in Europe.

FORZA NERAZZURI!

Copa Del Rey result: Getafe 4 - Barca 0

"It was simply sheer humiliation, from start to finish, for Frank Rijkaard and his boys" goal.com

A bit familiar Cup goodbye for Barca or isnt it not?

I know its nerazzurro thread and all that but I just had to post it. Every big club can have a nightmare match. Like Getafe today, needed to score 3 goals to progress(1st ended 5-2 in NouCamp), but they scored 4. Schuster`s tiny Getafe!!!!???!!!Look at them lineup for christ! Defender Alexis is the only one with the spotlight there.

Since when did you become the optimist?

There's no way in hell we're winning this one. It's just too incredulous to imagine.
:)

I'm not saying that I'm optimist about our chances but I refuse to give up just yet.

It's gonna be close to impossible but so was Liverpool's and Deportivo's chances against Milan, and ours against Roma earlier this season in the SuperCoppa Italia final.

Besides, Roma's luck has gotta run out. They beat us in the Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A ties over the past couple seasons, and Milan this season; and we all know that the Meazza is the place where the wolves turn from the hunter to the hunted. Their lucky streak has gotta run out. We just have to hope that we'll score enough goals in the process of winning it.

Some how I get the feeling Mancini will field a strange formation to surprise us all and do some weird substitutions(like subbing Miha in :p ), that's what always happened when we lost the first leg, and it has always been disappointing when we came under pressure like now.

But this time is different, we have nothing to lose, might as well field Adriano, Crespo, Recoba at the starting lineup. :boxing: :boxing: :boxing:

I'm not too sure about three strikers and all that. I mean, in terms of football we might have nothing to lose, but I can't ****ing take 3 defeats to Roma in one season. Seriously, I'd rather win 1-0 and lose the cup than be defeated by those ****tards again.

Adriano to start only because we need a fresh Recoba later in the game.

No, Recoba to start because we need the goals early on. If we won't score some at the beginning, we surely won't bag in some later on either.

Exactly! when chino came on in the second half of the match it was like he couldnt fit into the game .. chino has always been better from the start of the match because hes the one that should dictate the play

If we over attack, Roma will kill us again. We need a strong defence who plays passes out quickly to the midfield and creative as well as strong tackling central midfielders. If we can give our attack those conditions we will eventually score like we've been doing all season. Although 4-0 seems very improbable.

Some people forgot that fielding 3 strikers means fielding only 3 midfielders against a team that plays with 5 mdifielders and a playmaker as a striker.
