Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

When:

giphy.gif

AST: 21:45
GMT: 19:45
EST: 2:45

Why:

Well, I guess both sets of fans have asked themselves that question more than once this season. I would even bet that the capital wolves pondered that more than us as they handed the jailbirds of Torino their 28th (and I'm stretching it here) title for the 4th year in a row. Their domestic demise, even if the signs were flashing since the infamous Bayern thrashing, came directly after our defeat in Roma 4-2 as they never say the beautiful colors of victory in Serie A after 13 games (10 draws, 2 wins in the EL & Coppa, and 1 loss) until they broke the duck against Napoli in a 1-0 victory. Based on their early expectations this season, Roma's journey in 2014-2015 has been a disastrous one as they lost their focus once Garcia ventured into the no man's land that is the media clutches of Tuttosport and co. It's not only that, cracks appeared in Garcia's tactics that every side with proper perpetration absorbed them like Clefable's Magic Guard (you're welcome Pokemon fans). Afterwards, the debates on who should be held accountable on their fall started between their fans. Was it Garca's obsession with certain players? Or Sabatini's transfer miscalculations?

Oh, and if you're living under a rock lately (or enjoying a normal life unlike this boring bastard) then you'd know that harsh and critical disputes erupted between the Roma ultras and their president Mr. James Palotta after the latter called a portion of them "fucking idiots" after they mocked the mother of the murdered Napolitano supporter Ciro Esposito. As a results, the curva decided to boycott the Atalanta game in response to what they considered an abandonment to the real supporters of Roma. It didn't stop there as some of them put a threatening sign for the president that read:

CCjLbNSWMAAUIrC.jpg

Even yesterday before the Atalanta game, almost 500 Roma ultras gathered in front of the Olimpico's gates and started chanting against Napoli and their president by calling him "Palotta Pig".

Kudos to him for standing up to these ignorant idiots who plague the stadiums.

Anyway...

Roma have lost a lot of their drive lately, let us not be that elixir that brings them back to life.

Roma are playing like shit, but they have like 4 of fastest players in Serie A(Ibarbo, Iturbe, Gervinho, and Doumbia). If Mancini has any brains he'll get us to play on the counter because if they get to play on the counter (which no other team in Serie A allows them to do) will result in our slow arse defenders looking like statues.

No Medel due to yellow card accumulation.

As much flack as I give him, I've always been the first to say how irreplaceable he is in the current squad. Guarin and Brozovic will almost certainly come back into the lineup, but I have no idea who is capable of playing of playing in front of the defense. My guess is we won't play a 4-3-1-2, we might see the return of the 4-2-3-1. Guarin - Brozovic as the base with Palacio - Hernanes - Shaqiri behind them.

That is suicide.

Yes but we are missing Medel and no one fits the position directly in front of DF. Gnokuouri and Kovacic certainly can't play in a midfield 2 without a Medel type.

Neither can Guarin - Brozovic.

I'm not debating that necessarily. But IMO Mancini will go with the experienced players.

Mancini is very predictable. Just keep an eye on his training schedule and the team he is forming this week, we will now what he will do.

Guarin will drop into DM most likely. Another disaster.

I don't agree.

Instead of scoring from 20 yards out, Guarin will now score from 50 yards out.

There have been plenty of goals from the center circle last couple of weeks, now it is Guarin's turn.

Mancini is just going to replace Medel with Kuzmanovic.
