Sorry for getting ahead of schedule but I came across this. Kinda fitting for this weekend's game too!:lol::lol:

This is the promotion poster made by Pordenone ahead of our Coppa Italia clash with them next Tuesday.

This is awesome, I love these games because we get to see players who don't get much minutes.

Forza Inter!

The last 5 opponents we faced in our entry round of the Coppa Italia have been Verona, Udinese (who beat us..), Samp, Cagliari and Bologna. Crap-ish teams but at least opponents with history and we're familiar with. It's not often we get to play against a team of Pordenone's level. Were this a Mazzarri or Mancini side, I would never put it past us to get humiliated by a nobody team like Alcorcon vs Madrid or MK Dons against Van Gaal's Man United but unless we cop a 6-0 thrashing against Juve or something ludicrous, I can't imagine us even being troubled by a Serie C side.

Therefore, we should play a complete second string side. I'm never one to post my preferred lineups before matches because you never know who might be injured or in form between now and then but against Pordenone it's practically irrelevant.

Whoever the fuck our second keeper is needs to play 90 mins. Dalbert and Ranocchia must also play the full game. Santon's looking alright so put him as RB and maybe even play D'Ambrosio as the other CB. Midfield is tricky because we're so short-staffed in this department but the important thing is for Joao Mario to miss as many sitters as possible - so give him 90 minutes. I don't really care for Pinamonti right now to be honest. From what I've seen, I think Karamoh could actually surprise as a center forward but either way, he and Eder must play a full match too.

I just realized I forgot about Cancelo, but haven't we all?

Tbh I still expect Spalletti to make minimal changes even though we’ll be facing a team from Serie C.

What's this?

Serie D is the highest level of non professional football in Italy. At the end of the season, the winners of the 9 groups of serie D play a tournament which gives the "scudetto serie D" title. Of course, it's not worth much, it's the symbolic title of the best team in non professional football in the Country.

Man I thought at first that I'd get an Inter dose today. And it's for next week.

Juve game comes first but ideally we need to use a heavy rotation here. Formation and strategy has to be the same as the main one so that the players can adapt to it more easily.

GK: Padelli
DR: Cancelo or Santon
DC: Ranocchia
DC: possibly van der Eyden since Zinho is apparently out, otherwise Skriniar
DL: Dalbert
MC: Joao Mario
MC: Emmers or Zaniolo or some other Primavera kid
AMR: Karamoh or Cancelo
AMC: Brozovic or Zaniolo
AML: Eder or Karamoh
ST: Pinamonti or Eder

God I keep forgetting about Cancelo, don't think we'll be paying those 30 million.

This team beat Cagliari. They will be super motivated, and in football that is sometimes more dangerous than facing a smaller Serie A team. So lets not take this for guaranteed, we need a win here so that we go far in Coppa, which can give our bench players some useful playing time.

This is what I want to see:

Pinamonti
Eder - Brozovic - Karamoh
Mario - Gagliardini
Dalbert - Skriniar - Ranocchia - Cancelo
Padelli

It will be good to give minutes to Mario, Dalbert, Karamoh, Eder, Pinamonti, and Cancelo. And give Icardi, Valero, Perisic, Candreva, Dumbo, Miranda and Vecino some rest. But we must put in a quality team which will be expected to win comfortably.

If the result is safe, we could give some minutes to primavera stars in the 2nd half (Zaniolo, Odgaard, Colidio, Vanheusden etc).

I don't think we're going to see Cancelo start at RB for Inter.
