I really hope they play against us like they did in the first 2 matches with a 433 because would be difficult in that way to close up like bari did . They played in an attacking way against udinese in udine so i don't see why the should change against us. If they risk in this way our win will probably be easier . In addition biabany probably won't score even from a penalty kick because of the last mourinho's words so one less danger:p

Zaccardo, Panucci, Bojinov i think.

What about Galopa and Paloshi? And that french kid of ours (on loan) - can't remember his name at the moment.
They've got a very young but also talented squad, they could make problems for us.

I sure wish Couto still played for them :D

edit:just now I see someone already wrote the kids name: Bibiany

For fuck's sake, this kid's name is Biabiany.

Like some of you mentioned before, Parma has a strong side, young but strong, that could put in danger many of the defending lines from Serie A.

I have watched their last game vs. Catania and I was very surprised to see a strong motivation. Which I consider to be their weak parts are certainly the goalkeeper Mirante (although he had a great game, he is lacking consistency) and our ex-man Panucci. Paci, Gallopa, Biabiany, Paloschi are all very talented and they seem to have a strong bond already.

I certainly don't see a walk in the park for us in this game, especially with the international break and the Barcelona clash coming (yeah I know, two weeks to go but I wonder if the players see anything but this clash in front of their eyes) but I am confident that we can obtain a positive result after a hopefully downfall of Juventus in Rome.

didi, I thought we just mentioned that it is not going to be a walk in a park. Starting with that many 2nd team and youngster is suicidal

After watching Parma v Catania I'm not too worried bout this game tbh, Catania missed a sh*t load of chances and as someone mentioned they play a fairly open game, I don't think we'll have any problems opening them up. I love how fired our players are after the derby, its been a long time since I've seen our squad brimming with confidence :star:

btw have been a reader on the forum a long long time and rarely post but there's way too many negative posters on the forums, ffs lighten up, enough of the azzkikr impressions, this is a forum and u have every right to vent from time to time and critisize what u don't like but no need to be negative for the hell of it. Have faith boys the seasons long, sure everyone's been positive this past week but we won't see a show of strength week in week out, the season's long so lighten up and have faith, alot to look forward to and if we're disappointed by the end of the season then we're Inter so u should be used to it by now :p

lol we have won 4 titles in a row Rasheed. But for arguments sake, we were much more confident under Mancini when we scored 97 points in a season than we are at the moment seeing as our team is relatively new.

When we won 17 straight, albeit due to many factors (put it down to an easy league, a good team, good manager - pick your poison) we would go into every game as a forgone conclusion. Our record against the smaller teams that season was amazingly consistent. Our team would walk into a game with such confidence that the contest was over before kick off.

The league is much more competitive these days and this team still needs time before it can be so confident about themselves. (read: September 16th)

I was thinking more the confidence that this team believes they're on par with any team in europe, the past few seasons we've picked up 4 scudetti and you could see the confidence when they step out in Serie A but in the CL its a completely different story, no?

This season though i think the squad might finally have the belief they've always lacked and rightly so, anyways we won't have to wait much longer to find out, the Barca game should give us an idea

Anyways all i meant was it was nice reading what some of the players have been saying in the press recently about their belief and conviction in the squad, thats all :)

In fairness I think the 97 points was scored pretty much because a number of clubs were in crisis. I agree it's tougher now. This is why we can't walk out against Parma thinking we've won just because we beat Milan 4-0, we need to be seeking to improve all the time and I think Mou will make changes from the last match.

anyway were wandering off topic here

if we can get a good result off parma lets say 3-0 that will set us up for a positive game against barca
if we can out muscle barcas attack we should do fine

I think this is a great squad and if thins don;t go well we can use our first team players in second half to change the situation . Another point this will be a message for those who did not play in the derby to show their worth and I am sure with the new setup and new philosophy adopted ( ball on the ground and team work) they can do well besides we will try 4 3 3 so wen can have alternatives and become unprdecitable to opponents.

But if Sneijder is missing, I don't believe the Mou would play the 4-3-1-2 when his other option for trequartista is Muntari because Stankovic will be fielded in front of the defense. So if Sneijder doesn't play, I'm betting on a 4-3-3.

I'd like to see this formation against Parma. Some factors include:

DEFENCE

- Santon needs playing time
- Samuel needs to stay match fit, and I've omitted Lucio because IMO fully fit Samuel and Chivu are each better than Lucio

MIDFIELD

- No Sneijder, at least not from the first minute as we all know what happened a few days earlier, and especially if he's used against Scotland
- No Motta in the starting line-up, he only started full training today
- Obviously we have no Cambiasso, Mourinho doesn't seem to want to use Muntari for the time being, and Vieira has been OK in the past several matches

ATTACK

- Balotelli too needs playing time, and was looking more lively against Luxembourg
- Milito took a small knock a week or so ago and I don't want him rushed, as I consider him more important than Eto'o at the moment
- Quaresma is "improving". I don't have much hope for the guy, but matches like these are good chances for him to get some more match practice and show his worth

SUBS

It's hard to say how the match will play out but perhaps it could be useful to give Sneijder/Motta/Milito a short run out, a last chance at match practice before the Barcelona clash.

Otherwise, I'd hope we would win comfortably vs Parma and I'd like Eto'o to be subbed for Mancini. Then Eto'o's position could be taken by Balotelli and Mancini could enter where Balotelli was.

No way Quaresma can start in any match apart from Coppa Italia.
